Come on everyone, this is for the 32GB (not 16GB) cellular (4G - LTE version!) Nexus 7 (2013, latest version)!!!

*Please use Quidco for cashback, rather than TopCashBack. TCB showing a message where cashback "may" not be possible if Refresh contract is cancelled within 6 months. Quidco does NOT display such a message. So Quidco would be the safer option. http://www.quidco.com/o2-contract-tablets-mobile-broadband/*

Using a combination of the O2 refresh tariff and O2 priority moments offer, the tablet is available for £120.

The link takes you straight to the page where the O2 priority moments offer is included. Just select the 5GB tariff with no upfront payment. Once you've purchased the tablet and have had it delivered, give O2 a call and cancel the contract (make sure you don't use the airtime allowance!). You'd be asked to pay off the device contract which will be £5x24 = £120! The airtime contract will be cancelled automatically and you'll not be charged anything for this. Just make sure you call up and cancel as soon as you receive the tablet and that you do NOT use any of the airtime allowance. I have taken part in these refresh deals before and have never had to pay any airtime - only the device contract. IT IS LEGIT.

Cashback potentially also available from TopCashBack and Quidco. £31.50 with TCB and £30 from Quidco. Please see above for warning on which cashback website to use.
Quidco state cashback payment is made within 4 weeks, so worth a go if your cashback gets confirmed before you cancel the contract!

IF "GET DEAL" LINK IS NOT WORKING, USE:

I've cancelled such contracts twice before and have never been charged any airtime. Many others have also confirmed this on HUKD.

Ahh i see, somebody commented on the other thread saying you had airtime to pay for the first month also. Great Spot dude!

Well, as far as my two experiences have gone, I've never been charged for airtime. Many others on HUKD have confirmed this also. Perhaps that individual who spoke about being charged for the first month didn't cancel quickly enough, or they actually used part of the allowance? Just make sure you cancel as soon as you receive the tablet and do NOT use any of the airtime allowance.

I've been wanting to get my mum one of these for xmas, thank you

Can you unlock these?

Do you have to be on 02 to get one?

unlocked or locked ?

can you get cash back if you cancel the air time?
" Just so you know...

Please note - cashback will NOT be paid to O2 customers who pay off or cancel a Refresh PAYM contract before the 6 month validation period is completed"

It seems they have increased the device monthly cost from £5 to £7 now.
So the cost will jump from £120 to £168 even if you cancel the contract immediately after receiving it.

Re O2 priority moments offer, how do you get this and is there a code to use to get the device for £120?

Still showing as £5 for the device plan.

...hmmmm still £5 for me and just ordered a min ago

Many thanks, just ordered but site a bit sticky on confirm order, just keep recycling.

just been on live chat and i was told you have to pay the first months airtime.
"Well if you cancel within the cooling off period the contract will be free cancellation and you'll have to return device. So if you want to own the device and do not want the data. Then please pay the first bill and pay £115.00 against your device cost right on the 15th day"

just ordered @ £20 month. should I cancel as soon as I receive the device or give it a few days.

Will the device be unlocked

i bought one of the nokia 1020 earlier in the year and cashback never got paid due to cancelled airtime. I recently bought an lg g2 on refresh and cancelled the airtime and it's not looking good for that paying out either.

This is cold. As sidewinder says, when you click through from TCB you get a pop up saying:

Looks pretty convincing to me.

The deal is cold because the OP is bigging up the deal based on £31.50 TCB - I quote: '£88.50 with TCB cashback!!!!!' which, as others have mentioned, is clearly not payable when you cancel the airtime contract.

your not meant to include cashback on deals on HDUK anyways... so it dont matter if the cash back is included or not..

Actually with hindsight, perhaps I'm being a little harsh. £120 is still a good price even without the cashback.

Voted hot.

The device is £199 if you buy it out of contract. (Pas as you go)

The contract is 24x£5 for the device if you cancel the airtime. Worse case scenario you pay £120 + 1 months airtime making it £140. This is a legitimate deal.

Thank you

it seems in the other thread some one did get hit with a termination fee....

but he cancelled 1 day after delivery... can anyone confirm who has done this before... is it better to cancel after the 14 days?

link doesnt work for me,
could you post the link here?

I got one of these last time it was posted up on here on the O2 refresh deal. There was no problem with cancelling the airtime contract 2 days after it arrived so I got the tablet for a good price. Unfortunately the cashback only went through as a PAYG contract. I did get £10 cashback but not the £35 or whatever it should have been.

Are these unlocked?
