At the hospital I work, every nurse, doctor, clerk, porter etc has a NHS email. It’s a great deal and easily accessible.
The app tells me I can’t have a delivery because I’m not in an area they deliver to, but I can collect from Brisbane 10,277 miles away
lloyd147205/05/2020 08:16

Better pack your bags then

I can’t think of many thinks I’d prefer to do right now than head off to Brisbane for a beer

That's because that'll be the only open bar, try again after 12:00 and your local should show

Just be careful with what you order-we got told it didn’t apply to some products such as the bigger cases of various beers

You know you can access nhs email via your smartphone right?
Unfortunately not, nhs.uk email accounts are only accessible from within the NHS firewalls and networks, to access you either have to be logged into the NHS network, or use a special app which are only generally available to senior management.
ugh another 'NHS' offer that cannot be used by the NHS....bit pathetic really.

That’s not true for us, everyone in our board can and has to be able access email, it’s more difficult for some but it’s a necessity for all staff to use and access email as a lot of information is shared through it.

My mother had an NHS email since starting as a porter. She's now moved up the uniform ranks from red to green then to dark blue and now sky blue (no idea what roles she has now ).

ABMU Health Board (Swansea).
I'd feel kinda weird getting beer stuff sent to my work email, tbh... :/

Wrong. NHS.net is not connected in anyway to any of the umpteen different NHS domains across the country. I work in IT for the NHS

It can be used by NHS staff, but unfortunately a large number of front line staff would really struggle to access this offer due to the requirement to use an nhs.uk email address.

nhs.uk email addresses are only accessible from inside the hospital networks and firewalls. The majority of front line staff wouldn't have the time or the equipment to access this whilst on duty, and access isn't possible from home for the vast majority of employees.

You don't need to access your email. Just register with a valid email address and it will apply the discount.

Think you may be missing the 50% off the beer cost.

According to what smokingraygunn ordered, the Punk IPA came in at £3.65/litre. Morrisons is £3.79/litre.

I think the deal is great especially considering it's off food too. They may also have some beer choices not available in the supermarkets???

I'm going to give it a go so thanks very much for sharing op!
Doesn't look like my local is offering food. Could just do with a nice burger and beer as well! Ah well, you win some, you lose some.

yes its a little cheaper then the 4 packs from morrisons but to make a big deal out of the 50% off is shameless

That is just not true. Only those with nhs net emails can check eternally not nhs uk. Otherwise they must be checked while at work. For staff who cannot access email externally it's up to their manager to ensure the training and rota is clearly communicated.
