Exactly the same only over a longer period. I think £12 is my sweet spot. The worst part is it was the last game I got on my PS3 before upgrading to a ps4 and I never got round to playing it then lol

I did exactly the same my copy is still sealed but I bought the remaster in the ps sale a couple of weeks ago and have been playing since. Absolutely loving it 🏻
Well, just deleted my long winded comment by accident. So I’ll attempt to do it again.

Really gorgeous game. Excellent, likeable characters and a charming story.

But falls flat when it comes to the gameplay. Has a hodgepodge battle system that’s turn based, disguised as real time. As a result it’s not good at either. Then it has a Pokemon style evolution mechanic that’s just dull. An overworld that’s very pretty, but quickly gets tedious as you try and avoid battle, not because it’s difficult, but because it’s boring. It gets a lot of attention for it’s looks. But it’s style over substance.

It came out at a time when there was a distinct lack of RPGs in this style. It was that weird period where Japanese developers that specialised in this genre, especially the smaller studios, didn’t know what to do with themselves finding the transition into the HD era difficult and expensive. And being pushed aside to make way for the big Western mega blockbusters.

So when this popped along, it was afforded a great deal of attention and praise.

But really quite overrated. Not a bad game though. Enjoyable. Worth a play through. This is a good price.

And the English dub, for once, is amazing.

I really need to replay this, as I have mixed memories of enjoying it.
I'm currently replaying The Witcher 2 and I'm finding it much more enjoyable than when I first got it. Dunno why. I haven't played any RPGs for a while now. Maybe that.
