Second album from Nick Drake. A shame he was pretty much ignored until after his untimely passing but since his reputation and influence has grown considerably

Ordered thanks
Great album. Beautiful pressing as well. Easy worth a tenner
Island records tried to promote him at the time, with his tracks apparing on sampler Lps,but he was a tortured soul.
Just a couple of John Peel sessions, and hardly any live appearences which he wasn't comfortable with, meant his career stalled, and he passed in sad circumstances.
I was up with the music at the time, but didn't catch on to him until around 1983 ,when Anne Nightingale played River man on one of her Sunday afternoon shows.
I've listened to him constantly since.

Pink Moon is a favourit. I cant remember if I ever saw him or not as I was always so st....d lol. I did see Sandy Denny, Kevin Ayres, Gong, Pink Fairies,Roy Harper, Osibisa, Indian Summer, Clark Hutchinson,Family, Third Ear Band, The Incredile String Band etc etc. So much great music around in those days.

Stay off the internet
Timeless classic. This and Pink Moon I absolutely adore.
Nick Drake had an overwhelming fear of playing live, he may have died of an anti depressant overdose. He's a much lauded song writer now, but he suffered harshly from the human condition.
Something else for you old hippies. Mick Softly, sadly died recently I believe. youtube.com/wat…dYY
