Originally developed by Digital Pictures in 1987 and released in 1992, Night Trap has been completely rebuilt, bringing it to a level of video quality never before seen.

Night Trap tells the story of five teenage girls spending the weekend at the Martin home. As a member of the Special Control Attack Team, your job is to monitor the home and protect the girls using an intricate system of cameras and traps as it is being invaded by vampires.

Night Trap - 25th Anniversary Edition also includes new features such as deleted scenes, two documentaries, the all-new Theater that allows you to watch all story-related videos uninterrupted, a new mode called Survivor that will test your skills at trapping intruders and behind the scenes production images. For the first time ever, the unreleased prototype Scene Of The Crime will be fully playable and included with Night Trap - 25th Anniversary Edition.

So bad it’s good

I remember having it on the mega cd back in the day and managed to get a copy of the switch limited edition physical version a while back too for a bit of nostalgia

Obviously it was much better on its release back in 1992 due to the FMV used and it's pubescent audience it's a bit (read: very) cheesy and I'd imagine it wouldn't fit in very well with today's gaming, but for £1.39 and nostalgia, it's a great combo
anyone know how many hours the game play is?

Getting through it with no issues is around 50 mins, it'll be a bit longer than that though, I'd imagine, but not too much.

Cobra Command is in there for me too.
Was only reading about this the other day. Have a few spare coins so got it out of curiosity. RIP Dana Plato.

Quite straightforward. On a browser, change region in profile settings ( South Africa is often cheapest and accepts UK cards ). Pay with fee free card ( to avoid conversion fees ) . Download game. Region can then be changed back to UK.
Hmmmm wonder if corpse killer will make it on to switch its on ps4.

Haha that’s the two games I got when I bought my Mega CD. Despite the hate it’s one of my fave systems of all time.

Dunno, Five Nights at Freddys has had that many games I've lost count and praised for it's originality by those that never played Night Trap. Would be nice to get an xbox digital release at some point.

I recommend Double Switch another Mega-CD game by Digital Pictures which is also on sale on the Switch:

I agree as I have no idea how to play it as I’ve been flicking between the video screens and failing
Rubbish game. I watched a you tube walk through and it’s basically a 15 minute game of flicking screens and that’s it. You can’t even watch the appalling acting because you miss the augers roaming around. What a waste of 2 Bob!
Night Trap comes from a time where game companies were experimenting with different types of game play, creating interactive movie cd-roms etc. Anyone expecting anything more than b-movie style movie clips with a very limited game play experience where you basically try and capture some over the top actors in costumes, i mean monsters probably shouldn't bother with this, nostalgia / curiosity purposes only in 2020 I guess.

It was the hardest game to get hold of at the time as it was banned from everywhere and if you didn’t get it at launch you couldnt get it so it added to the hype! Which is sad because it’s terrible lol
