Pretty poor reviews on this system. Fine for daylight but not to be relied upon for nighttime.

Hi Dave, where did you see the reviews? I can only seem to find the Reevoo ones.

My friend had this system it's poor quality
You only get what you pay for
I spent over 800 on a system 4 cameras and DVR he spend 140 he can't even see peoples faces clearly on the recordings

If you're going to protect your property etc buy a decent system

What's that supposed to mean ?

Its the fastest way for me to find this again later today or tomorrow if I wish to view opinions etc. of the item, as the search facility on here is shockingly BAD!
By doing this it shows in my recent activity, thus I can find it immediately.
I could type a comment I suppose, but this is just the quickest way to leave a traceable link back to it.
I could wait ( in vain ) for the MODS to improve the search facility.............take forever no doubt.

£800 on a DVR system? You can get a top full HD 1080p IP system for less than that. I have the below with just a two 720p camera setup. excellent picture and loads of features.

that looks rather good unfortunately I've hard-wired my entire house with te CCTV gear available at the time and a bit short sighted not running it on cat6 in hindsight.

Not a bad price , but does it come with the any cables ie cat5 or cat6

4 Camera System

These are four 500tvl cameras not 700 as in the deal. The deal price for £99 seems good as argos does the same for over £230. Something screwee going on me thinks.

I have the 720p ones fitted which record high at 960. Just standard network cables work. The recorder also provides power to the cameras so you don't need any extra cables. Hope this helps.

Poor nightime viewing because they're CMOS, not CCD... still a good price for a starter kit, you can always add a couple of decent camaera's later (about 25 quid, sony effio's).... video quality should be good as it's got hdmi and VGA, quality can be lost if using AV o9n your tv/monitor.... had CCTV on house 5yrs now, wouldn't be without it, takes away all the guessing

Is this for just ONE camera? 99 quid?.... do you own the website?......

Anyone know if you can playback recordings remotely through iPhone and or web browser ?

The answer seems to be no for iphone at least - I rang ebuyer and nightwatcher for support and was directed to the manual - if thats the full extent of their product knowledge then best left alone...

So I am looking for a replacement to my Avtech KPD674 that has died after 4 years service.
I need remote access from web and iphone with full playback ability - any ideas in the £100 area ? (with or without hard drives or cameras)

Cheers

can anybody tell me the best Apple app for this nightwatcher.. a few forums say there are better advert free ones.. but dont say what they are... Grr

and any hints on the set up on virgin broadband... which suggests has a dynamic IP address.. double yikes !!
