The Nike Air Max 90 Lahar Escape is crafted from a variety of premium all leather construction aside from the faux satin tongue. It takes colour and design cues from vintage Nike outdoor silhouettes. The 'Lahar' label on the tongue is an homage to the 1989 walking shoe of the same name.

  • Tumbled and premium leather uppers
  • Satin padded tongue with woven 'Lahar' label
  • Visible Max Air unit cushions your every step
  • Foam midsole provides comfort throughout the length of the shoe
  • Flex grooves on the outsole let the shoe bend and flex with your foot

Hard to find 90’s for under £50 quid in mens sizes

Might get lucky in smaller sizes or occasionally in the Nike Outlets.

I know you know a lot about trainers, but isn’t these style the “face lifted” Air Max 90s that came out around 2003?

Sneaker news

“The cross-connection between the Air Max 90 and Nike’s off-road initiatives has occurred on more than one occasion. Back in 2003, Nike lifted the runner with an “Escape” concept, delivering a sharp hiking shoe colorway to the popular Air Max model, but since then we’ve seen extended takes in Mowabb form, a “King Of The Mountain” follow-up, and several other attempts that duly connected the two relatively bondless themes. Nike’s at it again, this time looking towards 1989’s Lahar hiking shoe in their respective “Escape” editions to concoct two colorways of the globally popular retro runner, even going as far as adding the stencil-font label on the tongue (although this homage says “Lahar” instead). Both are slated to release on Thursday, December 19th, so check out this first look and check our official store list below.”

Sneakers description

“Nearly three decades after its introduction to the world, the Air Max 90 persists as a beloved expression of visual Nike Air. Originally designed by Tinker Hatfield in 1990, the style has come to life in a multitude of materials and colourways, cementing its status as one of the most influential cross-cultural icons of the early noughties. This edition covers the style in neutral shades as it pays homage to a vintage ACG silhouette, the Nike Lahar Escape III. A bold graphic on the tongue combines with unique colour blocking on the laces to draw a direct connection to the shoe's adventurous predecessor.”

I only remember as when I started paying for my own trainers the Air Max 90s just changed to that style.
Shame it’s not the Camowabb version on sale

Yeah, I was hoping for 45% lol. I have enough pairs of MoWabb variants to open a shop.
Totally unrelated but randomly remember these were once posted here.

was not into sneakers then as I am so passed, turns out the collaborative designer of these ‘flops’ Patta/Parra, (some of you wil be familiar) went on to becoming a huge hyped streetwear brand and they now/have gone eBay for £200-£500

I think collaboration tend to be like marmite you either love them or hate.

I find many of the collaboration deals I post don’t do very well and pick up a lot of cold votes.

I post if I think they deal offers a good saving as style is subjective and everyone has different tastes.

This Adidas X White Mountaineering Nite Jogger went very cold but I still think it was a good deal and these are back up in price now

Always on the look out for Air Max 90's! One of my favourites! Had some white ones at Nike Factory Store in Manchester for £70 on back wall but no additional discount! Not a fan of white tbh!
Who would even consider wearing these lol .... awful.....

White ones are a blank canvas you could customise them yourself.

Seems to increasing popular with lots of people on YouTube doing custom trainers now.

Either hydro dripping or painting them
I love my sneakers, but these are two colour ways I don’t like on the 90’s - the positive is that they are all leather and no mesh toe box, not bad for the price if you love the design.
Stock images do not do them justice! They look buttery. Looking forward to getting my hands on them.. may keep them on ice till next winter though. Think for this spring/summer its time I finally bust out my 2015 infrareds, as its the AM90s 30th birthday year n all!

Received a few days ago, Very happy with them. Quality of the material used is wasn’t expecting an all leather liner/inner. However I noticed my left shoe didnt have any paper inserts or shoe tree as the right side did, and was laced differently - but near perfect other than that. Long story short 5 points said it was displayed in their store and I got a 10% reimbursement - so paid £61 odd in the end.
Got mine this week in the khaki, they’re nice to look at but the sizing is off compared to my other pair. Ordered a 5.5 and they were really loose on my feet, label on the tongue and box says UK 6 so they sadly have to go back and they’re sold out of the smaller sizes now. Bit of a let down as I really like them.
Think they need to correct the website unless it was sent in error.

That’s not very good they sent you the wrong size out. No wonder they were too big.
I decided to email them before I return them, see if they’ll offer me anything as it’s their error

Ive ordered .5 up before, in other shoes when my size wasn’t available. A good quality thick insole usually does the trick to make them fit mores snug.

I considered that but they felt a little wider too so don’t think it will make a difference this time around
