Better than ‘government issued shoe design #6’ I suppose

Is it really though? If we spent all our shoe R&D on the BEST shoe and we all just had the BEST shoe. No need to throw them out, or buy new ones when they come in fashion. Shoes built to last as long as possible that every one gets to wear.

What we have now is THOUSANDS of different versions of very similar shoes for outrageous prices constructed at gunpoint by people being paid less than we pay for coffee so that SOME of us can have a shoe that we were told is the best shoe but it might not be, we won't know till we try all the other shoes and MOST of us are wearing whatever we could afford from Primark or the supermarket.
Waste of money, these are perfectly adequate

Just cut the box in half and slap one on each foot!
These are ugly. You can get some Kyrie Flytrap 3s for £65...
I was put off buying the Michael Jordan trainers after seeing his feet bleed after wearing them for a game of basketball
Where are they made?
Looks like cheese at the bottom. I must be old I would never pay £70 for trainers. My budget is £20 nowadays.

And who decides what is the best shoe? The government? Sounds lovely. I’d love for the government to decide what is best for me in my life rather than me making my own decisions.

You are choosing to keep choosing, even if that means your choices will almost certainly be bad (not perfect) most of the time, so that you can keep choosing. More, you are choosing about pointless things, like what you put on your feet, but the real impactfull choices are made by other people already, but those people have you convinced that you chose them in an informed way.
You don't choose wealth, or health. Some people don't ever get to have them, so that we can walk down the isle in Tesco and see hundreds of variations of the same butter but packaged by different brands.

1. Those are the Jordan 1s which were designed a LONG time ago. Technologies have come a long way.

2. All basketball players' feet take a hammering. Run a Google search for "shaq feet" or "lebron feet" and thank me later.
Hmmm, burger king

Yes I was surprised MJ didn’t “defend the brand” after seeing that on “The Last Dance”.
Bloody awful.
I find these to be really hard on the feet

Really? It clearly stated in that documentary that his feet bled because he wore trainers he had not wore for 15 years if not more. He wanted to wear the same trainers he wore at his first game at MSG aswell as his last.

They were the Jordan 1s proper thick leather that needed breaking in. Then he wears a brand new pair to show off in a pro game. Luckily hes still cashing in the royalties 22 years after with us buying them still!
BLM boots
Website looks wrong

So your argument is that I’m too stupid to make my own choices and therefore I’m better off with the government making them for me? Lol okay dude, enjoy your utopia where the Boris and Cummings of the world (as whoever ends up in charge in communist states are never exactly beacons if breath ethics) are deciding exactly what you can and can’t have in life.

and yes, you can chose wealth. The overwhelming majority of people have the opportunity to get wealthy if they actually try but the vast majority simply don’t, they prefer the comfort of a 9-5 lifestyle rather than actually starting their own business. You can start an amazon fba business for like under £2k and even use a credit card to start it if you like. Can you chose wealth in communism? Nope, that’s totally down to the rulers who gets what. No thanks.

Not too stupid, no. You said that. These people pretty much already do.

You can't choose wealth. That's a myth. Survivor bias is a thing.
Why do you want to be wealthy anyway? Food on the table, clothes on your back, books to read, work to be done, what else do you want? Gold plated cutlery?

Wealthy people are hoarding resources, resources that could go to people who actually need them. They don't have vast amounts of wealth out if no where. Their abundance is a direct result of other people's lack.

It’s a myth that anyone can start their own business? Do explain. I just explained very simply how the vast majority of the population who would qualify for a £2k credit card could start one. How am I wrong?
