Nikko VaporizR RC Car - £33.99 at IWOOT using code 15VCXMAS (RRP £49.99)

I posted this earlier at Argos for £39.99, which is still a good price if you prefer not to do online shopping and pick up today on the high street.

However, a fellow HotUKDealer advised me of a 15% off code on IWOOT so I though I would repost for an additional saving for those prepared to order online.

The car is a 4x4 RC car that also work and steers in water. The main batteries for the car are rechargeable so should keep the running costs down and the controler uses a 9v battery (included in the box).

This price is for the green model only as the blue one still seems to sell for £49.99 (£42.49 if using the code). RRP for this is £59.99.

Here's the Argos deal fro anyone who wants to go for that instead:

I also ordered from IWOOT at this price. Argos had no stock when I looked. Hope I have 2 happy boys as this is a big upgrade from previous cheaper remote control cars.
This is my son's first major remote control car, so I was looking for something fun but that was fast and also robust. It looks like you can take this thing anywhere and still have a good time with it and know that it isn't going to get broken.

There are load of cheap RC cars in the supermarkets at the moment, but they all look as though they will stop working after one or two crashes or simply eat batteries and so the cheap price is a flase economy. Plus the supermarket ones aren't a good brand like Nikko, who have been making RC cars for years.
Fingers crossed it lives up to the reviews and delivers in time for Xmas!

hope you didnt buy 2 of these for your boys..cus they wont be able to play together at same time cus they run on the same 27MHz frequency.
You can usually set a couple of channels so you can run two at the same time. They would be mad not to have that feature and I haven't had a decent RC car that hasn't had that feature before.

I did a quick check online and understood the channels could be configured differently, hope so.

Just dug a bit deeper and now am more concerned as there was a comment on the Argos website indicating it could be a problem. Thanks for warning me. Have emailed The Hut and Nikko.

I had to contact IWOOT as mine has still not posted today and they said it would post out in 24 hours and by 12 December at the latest.Just dug a bit deeper and now am more concerned as there was a comment on the Argos website indicating it could be a problem. I had an online chat with IWOOT yesterday pm after they failed to respond to the email. I also have had a reply from Nikko that the cars are supplied in 2 versions, 1 of 27mhz and 1 at 40mhz, so not selectable on the unit. I questioned IWOOT about what they would be able to supply me, answer was the warehouse will be too busy to check that the two supplied would be different, but that I would be able to get a refund if no good (my postage back expense!). I was not happy with this so I asked if it was realistic for me to contact Nikko and ask them what they are shipping to IWOOT. At this point he said he would send an email to the Buyer to get a better answer!

I then asked about stock and was told it was not in yet! Amazon also have no stock.
I've also contacted IWOOT only to be told my order hasn't been completed as they dont have the stock from the supplier yet. So I immediately responded stating the website says it is in stock and despatches in 24 hours. To add insult to injury, the price has now dropped to £37.99 so I asked them, as they had not completed my order or taken the money, to charge me the reduced price less the 15% discount (only saves another £1, but that's what we are all here for). And further more, the IWOOT 12 Days of Christmas e-mail sent today features the car as a recommended item for Christmas. I told them that they had ought to be aware that people are ordereing for christmas presents for children and it simply wont do to be messing around and supplying misleading information about stock availabilty on their website.

I'm currently awaiting their response.
Voted Hot... I have been looking for a nice quality, well priced off roader (xmas pressie)... Managed to order one from here for £30.39 thanks to a 20% off voucher I found in my deleted emails (I would share it but its a one off/unique code)... 2% Quidco too so should come in under £30 eventually.

Hope it arrives in time!

The delivery from IWOOT turned up this morning. Phew.

They refused to honour the lower price of £37.99 that was active from the Monday after I ordered on the Friday enev though they had not fulfilled my order. I stated that if the item had been posted, then I wouldn't have expected them to honour the lower price, but as they had not yet completed the order or taken the money from my account they should honour the lower price now shown. They refused stating the T&Cs say prices are subject to change.

That does seem rubbish. If there is a next time maybe you could cancel the order and re-order. Glad it has arrived today though. I was told ours would be shipped with 2 different frequencies too. Really hope so as the son's birthday today had a disappointing r/c helicopter that's broke already
Both arrived on time, same frequency! Needless to say, not happy with this but at least they arrived on time. Now I will have to arrange for a return and re-arrange Santa to revisit when the alternative frequency is sourced.
Situation saved - the car Band B 40mhz is now stock at Smyths and thankfully my Dad was nearby. It's blue too, so one of each colour.
If buying two you must get a green one and a blue one.The green ones frequency is 40mzh and the blue is 27mzh.This will resolve frequency clashs. There highly recommended and by far the best Rc car on the market for under £50 at the moment.I got the green one from argos for £49.99 and the blue one from iwoot for £34.99.It was £39.99 but i used a discount code also.

Good call, but as you have noticed, one colour is always £10 more than the other. IWOOT had the green on offer at Christmas but the blue on at full price.

Its a great little car, but awkward to get the hang of controlling it as it's not a standard controller method.

Indeed, my Dad went into Smyths to pick one up after IWOOT sent 2 of the same frequency and I'm sure he had a choice of frequency for one colour. Also, Nikko did reply to me to confirm that is the case.
yes we bought 2 both green but different frequencies
