This latest generation of Nikon's 300 mm lenses is a steal at this price, being some 500 quid cheaper then the next best price elsewhere. Limited stock, so be quick!

Jacobs had the previous gen of 300 mm on sale too (ED-IF VR for 2,999.99), but sold out in just a few hours - I think I may have got the last one, sorry!

P.S. Please don't vote this down just coz you shoot with a compact camera or your phone - it IS a great bargain for SLR users.

UPD: Forgot to mention 3% off via Quidco too, so potentially 87.48 cashback (thanks metalophylous!). Mine hasn't tracked yet, maybe coz Jacobs tend not to honour cashback for some of their sales items.

Best price, but can't see how it's so much more expensive than the equivalent 300mm L series canon prime.
Don't you mean "cheaper"? The equivalent Canon L series 300mm/2.8 prime is over £5,500 at the moment.

LOL, yes sorry, that's the site I referenced too. I wish canon would drop it to this sort of price.

Lol, I know, no stereo shots for all real pros out there
So COLD. I can get that zoom on my £50 Vivitar I bought of QVC......

Excellent price, shame I can't find the 24-70mm anywhere on sale. May just have to take the plunge and get it from Jessops with 6% cashback.
I wish I could afford this - and also have the talent to use it to its full capacity.

Fantastic find ... now where's that credit card?
Just bought one today, and £105 Quidco cash back to boot. Being a retired dude is hard work.

This is the best price I could find, apart from Clushpix? Not too sure about them.

Forgot to add that Quidco is tracking ok.

If you're not going to use this lense on a regular basis there are a few places you can rent it, there are loads of places to rent from I use two different site so I wont go into individual names but try it if you cannot afford one outright
