that's a standard basic zoom lens *usually supplied with most nikon slrs). the one in john lewis is a great portrait lens with 1,8 focal length
Great lens. Get one if it’s not in your collection!
Depends on your body

The 18-55 is an AF-P model (not AF-S) and only works on later D models. It's an utterly fantastic lens and true bargain. Its up there with the 200-500 for excellent value. The 18-55 + 70-300 AF-P makes for a very light kit. I use them with a 5600 and am getting almost unbelievable results, often better than lugging the 7200 around although that has more scope on extreme circumstances of light and speed.

The 35mm AF-S is great if you can live with fixed FL and available s/h (excellent or nearly new cond) for £79-£109

Ahh, so this lens won't work with my camera body (Nikon D3400)?

I wish I'd seen your post before I'd ordered.

I think he's replying about the AF-P lens, this lens will work with your D3400

"Consumer DSLRs that do not incorporate a built-in focus motor, therefore need to use an AF-S or AF-P NIKKOR lens to get the full autofocus capabilities from the lens"

I frigging love this lens. Got it for my d5300 for like £80 ish from camera jungle.
good price, ordered, not many left
Awesome price for a great prime lens, only 1 left online when I last looked!
Used - Cex have 10 avail. - £85 del.
- mpb a few £60-90
I got mine maybe 3 yrs back from cex - remember you can return under dist.selling and has g'tee
As mentioned by others this is a good lens - compact, good low light ,sharp ,useful indoors
And best of all it doesn't cost a fortune.
Got mine, wife said "wow" when she saw the picture of my daughter.
