Your first point . Tamron are cheaper than Nikon because they are not as good , Which i think kind of covers your second point but if not.......Nikon need to catch up with Canon on lenses but that aside the more you spend on your lens the better you get.
£150-£250 on a Nikon 55-300 is money worth spent.
Your third point Digital rev is HK based so it will be a grey import , That`s where you pay your money and roll your dice.
Personally i would wait for it to drop to approx £195 for a UK based supplier.
I actually bought this very lens from them last year when it first went sub £200. Absolutely no problems and shipped (and tracked) using DHL. Received very quickly too. Lovely lens.
I have a Kenko 1.4x PRO300 which works just fine with this len`s AF and VR seem to work without an issue but you will lose some F stops , Beware Nikon teleconverter`s have compatibility issues.
Best check with dealer first.
PMSL!!! You know a lot.
As for Nikon catching up with Canon glass, must be a Canon fanboy.
No i am a Nikon Fangirl but Canon is just tipping the scales at the moment but i will expect Nikon to bridge the gap and pass the Canonites real soon :-)
The Nikon has VR

How so?
You clearly don't know much about cameras. The Tamron is an awful lens, wouldn't even pay £1.09 for it! Even more laughable is claiming Nikon aren't very good with lens whilst recommending one of the worst lens out there. DigitalRevs is indeed in HK and a reputable dealer...these aren't just my opinion but some facts!
In what way is Canon tipping the scales? What basis? how have you come to that conclusion?
LMFAO, what do you know then? Clearly not a lot if your not sharing your knowledge.
LMAO! Well if you knew a lot you would've shared some of your knowledge but clearly not.

Canon have a bigger range and a bigger slice of the market , They have 4K lense`s which will fit their DSLR`s
You carry on believing the Tamron is a great lens and Nikon make poor lenses ;), you dont need me to enlighten you as youve already stated. My lenses are clearly not as good as your £100 Tamron so I probably shouldnt mention them.
Be interested in seeing the worldwide market share figures you have? And how does (miniscule +-5) more lenses made = better lenses. AFAIK Nikon arent to interested in doing video but Canons done it for a while so clearly they would have a leg up there. So youre basing superiority on sales figures? Canon is just the "in thing" at the moment due to strong marketing, Nikon was, they keep switching places, both are as good as each other tbh.
Why should we back off, just expressing our opinions and in my opinion you are wrong and as a fact that Tamron is light years behind the Nikkor lens.
That is a really poor argument and doesn't really back up anything, having a bigger range and larger market share doesnt denote better lens. You need to consider more factors. Canon can have a million lens in their range but they can all be rubbish.
Poor argument lol "Can be all Rubbish" Well hit with damming facts like that I have no where left to turn.
Well yes it is a poor argument. Your principle was basically quantity over quality, apparently quantity signifies quality, which it does not. You didn't take into consideration other factors like image quality, build quality, more **** stuff like barrel distortion, the specs, the target audience of the lens, the price range, I could go on forever. The simpleton argument of quantity is laughable and frankly ignorant. I don't think you actually know why Canon lens is better than Nikon's (because they aren't, as both make equally fantastic lenses), just a blanket statement you made and then did a quick google for a reasoning without actually thinking over it.
Google search lol please , Also Sony are a going from strength to strength and will be up there as well in the next few years.
Oh and if all else fails you could always misquote me ....."Canon lens is better than Nikon's" ....oh you did JOKER
You said canon is tipping the scales/edging it over nikon, which is basically saying canon is better than nikon is it not? if it isnt then what is your point?
As for Sony they have always made great bodies, sensors and good lenses, alot of the Nikons use Sony sensors, but they have always struggled for marketshare and I dont see them making much ground up.
God, Idris you never shut up do you? EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN OPINIONS! Do give it a rest for everyone's sake.
I took your advice and took at look at both cameras in DD.
Yes yes you have used the word "basically" buzzzzz lol outstanding :-) I was talking about the range including 4K Lense`s not the quality of build or glass , But in typical nit picking hair splitting style off you went on your camera crusade hilarious.
I love all the comments about other makes etc etc blar blar.
Why can't people just comment on the actual deal instead of rattling on about other stuff all the time?
Yes there are cheaper lenses out there, and yes there are better more expensive lenses, but unless you can find this exact lens for less than £150, vote it hot and then shut up.
I would like to say thanks for finding this deal is a great one
Yes did I say your not entitled to your own? Am just giving my own opinions back, so calm down fella.
