Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G VR Lens £234.98 Delivered

I have been looking for a good price on this and for those who don't have enough money for the 70-300VR or are just starting out in DSLR route then this is a great telephoto lens for the money.

I have just purchased this to add to the 18.55 VR Nikon Kit lens and Nikon D5000. Great Como.

Here is the spec: Product Features

* The AF-S DX 55-300 lens by Nikon also boasts quick and silent focusing
* 100% satisfaction guaranteed with 12 month manufacturer's warranty

* High-powered 5.5x DX zoom lens with super-telephoto reach
* Flexible 55-300mm focal length (35 mm equivalent 82.5-450mm)
* Vibration Reduction II (VR II) stabilization system. Allows shutter speeds that are up to 4 stops slower
* Two ED glass elements and one HRI (High Refractive Index) element ensure outstanding optical performance

Mr T agrees, have some heat.

bought it when jessops had it on special for less, great lens and still hot

HOT from me. Bah! That's really stuffed things up. I wanted to buy an 'Advent Vega' but kept thinking I should really add to camera kit. I've got the 55-200mmVR and I'm happy with it. I would prefer the 18-200mm but at nearly 400 quid I can't really justify it. Having said that, I've used the 55-300 and the extra 100mm over the 55-200 doesn't really make that much difference. I think I'll just stick with my kit and keep looking at the Advent Vega. (_;)

Hot! Superb lens! Anyone want to lend me £235?

I was going to get that lens from them but when I phoned they had none in stock for pickup and told me it was having issues delivering that lens because of a lack of stock!!

Make of that what you will...................so Amazon it was. And with free delivery its only a few pennies more.

Still a cracking price.
