This version of the Nikon Coolpix S51 comes readily equipped with my Picturetown, Nikon's new wireless photo sharing system. With this camera you can view your pictures on your Blackberry® smartphone, E-mail or store pictures on your account. You can send pictures directly to your Flickr® account straight from the camera in Wi-Fi open access hotspots with the Picture Mail button.

In addition there are many outstanding features of this camera as outlined below:

3.0 inch LCD monitor
To get the best possible view of your images, a large 3" LCD monitor has been included that is also equipped with an anti-reflection coating for easier viewing.

8.1 effective megapixels
Gives excellent image quality and sharpness up to and beyond A4 size

Optical system
Fitted neatly within the slim camera body, the 3x Zoom-Nikkor lens gives the equivalent of 38-114mm focal length. Also included is an optical lens shift VR* image stabiliser to prevent as far as possible any camera shake reaching the sensor.
*Vibration Reduction

High Sensitivity Mode
In this mode an ISO sensitivity of up to 1600 can be selected, meaning there is more scope for shooting in darker conditions without inducing camera shake. Very useful when combined with image stabilisation.

Imaging modes
As well as a range of scene modes, the Coolpix S51c also includes the following technologies:

* Face Priority AF: detects faces in a shot and ensures they are in focus
* Red-Eye Fix: Removes unsightly red eyes from flash photos on-camera
* D-Lighting: Automatically adjusts for underexposed photos or photos with tricky backlighting after they have been taken. It then simultaneously records both the original and adjusted photos for comparison.

Present slideshows on your camera in this mode and play back stills or movies with a choice of music soundtracks.
