Normally around £400, this is a great price at the mom. I was in Jessops yesterday and they wouldn't budge on their £399.99 price, only offering a tenner off the breakdown cover so this is a very good deal IMO.

Note £369.24 is the amazon selling price BEFORE the cashback

£339.24 with cashback applied and a few nectar points too :o)

I guess Amazon is better if you want it delivered?

Nah the Amazon price is BEFORE cashback is applied, £369 from Jessops is with cashback already included.

No, that would be the 5000. The 3000 is aimed more at idiots who can't cope with more than 2 buttons :whistling:

Hot price for a great entry level camera!

Sony Alpha A330 at Jessops, £339 after cashback. Much better camera. Stabilising is in the body, so cheaper lenses.

Cold.

You vote on the price, not whether you like the make.

Great camera for those getting into DSLR.

I really should have tried to sell my D40 before the prices of these went down!

Very good price.
Alternatively you can pick up the superior D5000 for £508 at Camerabox.co.uk and get £50 cashback on that.

How does this compare to the Nikon D60 or Canon EOS 1000D?
I'm looking at upgrading from my point and press Panasonic Lumix LX-1 and Lumix FX-35.
Thanks

On the short run it's a great deal...

But on the long one:
Imho it's better to pay 30 pounds more... in Jessops then buy a cover for it for 3years
Crash the camera after 2.5years ... and get a new one ^^

can you recommend a good AF portrait prime lens for this 1.8f or better for under £150

do you need to purchase a warranty plan to get the cashback?

from reading the cashback form it says you need to provide a warranty?

does this mean you need to pay for some sort of cover

Unfortunately the d3000 is back up to £379.99 on amazon again now.
