GREAT

Paid more for the D3100, superb deal.

what cashback are we talking about here?

Great price. What's the cashback offer? argos or nikon?

I've been thinking about buying this camera for a while and been waiting for a good deal to pop up.
Best deal I've seen so far is at currys. Its £350 but o2 customers can get £20 via priority moments. I realise that this deal won't apply to everyone but is potentially better than this with the cashback too.

Wow.You don't normally associate argos with good deals on stuff like this

Funny the Argos site doesnt show this deal. Is it starting tomorrow?

hes factored the cash back into the final price

Twice?

Argos online should be showing £349. He has then taken the £30 cashback via Nikon off that which is £319.
Can not see the £10 off £100 offer

Ah well I think the extra £10 is just a voucher against further purchased so not really correct to factor into headline price. Jessops is same deal plus u get some extras

So much for competition! Everyone charging £319.99!!!

since when is cashback allowed to be factored into the price?

it's not really an offer. .last year at curry's you could by this camera with 30 £less..I just bought it 1 week ago and everywhere it's the same price..for me it's not really a deal

To be fair currys has a better deal!! 349.00 for camera ... £20 off with O2 priority moments and then £30 cash back off Nikon direct via redemption... £30 comes on a card toooooo according to the site it's a bank card with a PIN number with £30 on it... So in essence the camera is only £300

I'm after a new camera. In terms of ease of use, how would this compare to a canon sx50? I know this is a DSLR but I'm a point and click guy and not sure how to adjust all of the settings.

Thanks

there is an auto mode too
main thing for you to know though is this kit doesn;t have the same 'zoom' range as an hx50, infact you wont get any 'normal' dslr lens to give this camera the the reach of an hx50
55mm is about the same as 2-3x zoom level on your current camera
quality at each distance is alot higher though and more flexible

Bought this couple of months back for £450

when's it's an official part of the deal and (relatively, as much as anything can be) guaranteed.

quidco, tcb etc can never be guaranteed to track and they don't assure payout so frowned upon if included in the price. buying something from a retailer with the manufacturer offering money back on the purchase is all part of 'the deal'.

just bought one a week back, hmm missed this deal.

Unless I'm missing something this is £30 cheaper on Currys, who have a pre-cashback price of £349, as opposed to Argos at £379 pre-cashback?

yeah a bit annoying as i gave this heat based on the fact it was 349 pre cashback

either price has gone up of this is just misleading wording "It is £349.99 on the website, with £30 cashback"

brilliant camera and well worth the money, seems like an okay deal.

to the guy asking if its okay for beginners, I've had mine over a year and got some awesome pics out of it but for best results you have to learn about photography and understand iso, aperture, shutter speed etc and you'll probably end up spending more on lenses, speed light etc if you wanna just point and shoot youd be better off buying a point and shoot camera. my Mrs really struggles using this in auto because she doesn't understand how to use it properly and only about 50 percent of her shots are usable. For someone wanting to get into photography it is a really good starter camera.

ok thanks

*CALL OFF THE HOUNDS!*

Price is back to £349 in Argos. But Jessops seems better as you get £69 (not worth £69, but still better than £10) worth accessories free (Argos only gives £10 voucher)
