Great camera, this and Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 is the best combo on this sensor.

Not 100% sure this is the VR II lens?

Looks like spec listing just misses of the "II". Apols. Great deal.

The pic sbows the VR one lens, still a good deal though...

The photos on the website show the VR II. It has the button on the side to extend the lens and if you look at the writing on the front you can see it says VR II.

That is a beautiful lens although nearly twice the price of this body alone. It would go nice with the sigma 18-50 2.8 also which is a cheaper option.

You are right. I was looking for the VR II marking on the top rim

Slightly off topic, but when did they add the button and why - the non-button lens doesn't suffer from zoom creep, it's normally the long telephotos that suffer from that.

edit. oh, just checked a review - so it retracts for storage? seems a bit of a pointless addition, its predecessor wasn't an exceptionally big lens.

I placed an order on Saturday as I had been looking for one these for a while only to find out by email that it has been cancelled 'due to failing internal security checks'
I've never had any problems like this with a purchase before.
Has any one else had this problem with John Lewis?
