Ha Happy holidays sir
I have the D3200 its it worth the upgrade?
Be careful to check that you have a UK plug and manual when it arrives. A load of us got German units the last time this came up.
Nice deal OP! 😁 it has been this price before on amazon with the same promotion but cameras went out of stock.

When the cameras arrived last time, a lot of people got the EU version, with German manual and EU charger. However I got a £75 refund from amazon when contacting them about it... So was quite happy 😊

So if it happens again and you are sent the EU plug etc, they will want to refund you and you can return it , but if you don't mind keeping it with another £75 off keep arguing on chat that you don't want the hassle of returning and ask for a manager, who can do the £75 refund. You can also keep the EU charger it comes with and just get a EU travel adapter with a UK plug on for a couple of quid, and then charge it with that, but if you want one, a proper replacement UK charger will run you about £50 from nikon. Anyway merry Xmas! 😁

...and many of us got nice refund to buy UK charger - came out at £170 for camera in my case
Got this camera a couple of weeks ago on Amazon, when they were running the same deal. It arrived on time, and came with a universal charger, and a UK 3 pin adapter that clips on to it, satisfying UK standards. It also had a UK manual.
I was concerned, as there had been a lot of talk on HUKD about not them being a UK product, and so not covered by UK warranty. So phoned the UK Nikon Service center, who could confirm by the serial number, that it was sold by UK Nikkon to Amazon...so if you have any doubts, give them a call. This is a really great price, so voted hot.

Depends how much you'd use the features which are better - cameradecision.com/com…400.

Doesn't look a massive upgrade. But, if you can buy this for £299 and flog your old camera for £200, well worth considering.

Got this exact camera and lens for £124.99 last week on littlewoods. Was sold out within hours and then up a few days later for £384.99. Never thought I’d be able to get such a good camera at that price. Very happy.
Why you want to make me poor? Whyyyyyyyyy? 😩😩😩
Thanks was just about to purchase this for my son!

I have the D3200 its it worth the upgrade?

Short answer: No.
Long answer: No. The only worthwhile upgrade will be to go to the 7000 series of cameras. If I wanted to move from a 3200 I'd buy a used 7100 or 7200 from MPB.com
Yep. If you can't afford it just buy used Nikon 3300( this same camera (without Bluetooth) Great for landscapes...

I have the D3200 its it worth the upgrade?

I have the D3300 and that is quite a bit better than the D3200, lack of anti-alising filter and quality of the std lens make a surprising difference, D3200 images look blurry in comparison. Would image the D3400 is similar to the D3300 in this respect.
Ah this is a pain, I was hunting for this for ages for a Christmas present and Amazon had been out of stock for months, so I ended up getting a Canon EOS 1300D instead for about £292 after cashback, but I think these are better cameras from what I understand.
I got this for my wife a few months back from Amazon. She loves it and it takes wonderful pictures. They were also running the £75 off promotion and I bought it for £279. It was temporarily out of stock so had to wait a while for it to arrive. When it arrived, yes it came supplied with an EU plug so I contacted Amazon and asked why this was. They said they were investigating why this was the case and offered to refund me the money. I said that I didn't want a refund but that I felt they should give me a credit to purchase a UK charger (I didn't want to return it as everywhere else was £354 at the lowest). They refunded me £80 on top of the £75 discount and I was very happy with that.

The EU pins were a separate piece from the charger which I had to connect, so you may be able to find a UK pin piece to attach to this charger. Otherwise an adapter works fine and Amazon confirmed this would be under the normal warranty they would usually provide. I paid another £8 I think to buy a user manual "D3400 for dummies" or something like that.

Or you can download the manual here:

Love this camera but my other half put it in the bottom of his bag and smashed the screen to view pics. Anyone know how easy they are to replace?

Got 20% refund too, thanks for that
Excellent buy. Bought it when it was on offer last time for £279 then git another £50 amazon voucher for receiving eu charger, made sweet deal more sweeter. Go for it.
I’m not getting the discount at checkout. Still being charged £379.99
Expired?

Only get a 7000 series if you want the additional controls at finger tips which requires learning the camera further, otherwise for point and shoot automatic mode users, not much point on upgrading unless you really want the bluetooth connectivity or you old kit is on its last legs.

VR is built into the lens and the lens has a stepper motor, so silent zooming. Only thing is, no mic jack on this, strangely the older D3300 has a mic jack. D3300 & D3400 image quality quite a lot better that D3200 (no anti-aliasing filter).
