Awesome deal. Can’t go wrong with a Nikon (or Canon).
Great price for a great entry level camera.
Have some heat !

I used to have this camera - absolutely loved it. Such a good price, too.
This will be my first DSLR camera after looking around for a good entry level DSLR. This camera was recommended on almost every website or forum.

If anyone else is a beginner and looking to learn like myself, here is a good guide to read through to learn some of the functions a DSLR has

Is this from Hong Kong? Personally i'd rather pay the extra £30 for peace of mind, faster delivery, easier returns, but each to their own. If someone doesn't mind buying electronics from Hong Kong that is a fantastic deal. You should post it

Any deals on D5600?
Darn it!! I paid £349.99 at Argos last week, but it's worth every penny. Heat added.

What's it like for low level light? My other half wants a new camera and her current bridge camera isn't the best for indoor shots.

They're very fussy when it comes to returns I wanted to swap it for a canon and they give you like a week to return it

F3.5-5.6... would not bother unless you like noise from ramping ISO or use a flash.

It’s a kit lens so do the usual: buy it, eBay the lens, get some real glass. Try a 35mm or 50mm f1.8 (or faster) prime if you’re starting out.

It’s very good, miles better than your average bridge camera.
You can see a comparison here, if you choose this vs something like the Olympus Stylus 1 it will give you an idea.

I recently brought he same camera. It’s a great bargain.. looking for recommendations for expandable lenses
Thanks. Been waiting for an offer on this.
I like the versatility of bridge camera and I don’t see myself using a DSLR of its full potential, ie buying more than 1 lens, using manual setting etc. Should I still get a DSLR with a zoom lens? Because cost of d3400 and a latest bridge camera costs pretty similar.

Wouldn't get anything Nikon again, my 3200 was awful. Would barely focus at all.

Sounds like you had a dud, but to be fair the D3200 was not that good, nor was the lens that came with it. The D3300 & D3400 are better, as are the included lenses.

VR stands for vibration reduction and is what Nikon calls it's version of optical image stabilization. Image stabilization basically counters the camera shake you get from holding the camera, making it so you can use slightly faster shutter speeds than without it. Non-VR lenses do not have this feature, but cost less than VR lenses.
