Hot from me. I have this very set (bought the 55-200 after I got the camera). This is an excellent camera and the two lenses complement each other very well.

Buy it.

Cracking deal. Heat.

D5100 is about to be released.

D5100 is about to be released.

Can't wait to see what it's got. If it improves in the same way the 3100 did over the 3000 it should be absolutely brilliant, although I doubt that I'll actually upgrade from my 5000.

Looking at the previews - the D5100 is a cracking camera...
Shame it's got the "new camera extra momey" price tag to go with it

Stuck between a D5000 and a D3100 now

Jessops are showing the D5100 available for pre-order for delivery from 21 Apr (if I understood their page correctly),

As for the D5000 / D3100 quandry I sympathise.

I have the D5000 and it's a cracking little camera. I find the flip out LCD very useful, I often use it flipped partly down so that my chin doesn't press on the screen and leave marks. It also means that when the camera isn't in use you can turn the screen inwards so that it's protected from knocks and scrapes. If you want to shoot movie clips then it can manage 720p.

The D3100 can 1080p shoot movies, has more megapixels and a larger (but fixed screen) screen.

I suspect that there should be a bunch of hot offers for the D5000 once the D5100 is out, but presumably the D3100 will stay pretty much where it is.

The annoying flip-down nature of the D5000's LCD held me back from it. Now that it's flip-left on the D5100, I have no more excuses.

I agree that the flip down screen wasn't Nikon's greatest idea - not handy when using a tripod. However, it looks like some of the custom buttons that are to one side of the screen on the D5000 have gone missing on the D5100.

Im so stuck as to get the D5100 or the D7000, I really want the D7000 but.... the flip out screen for my macro work and its got the same sensor just makes me feel spending less money might be the idea this time.....

Think this is an average deal, especially with the Argos deal just posted. Wont vote either way though
