Great deal at Argos for a great camera (in stock when I last checked)

I think 1.5% quidco also available!

Exceptional image quality with the same sensor as in the D300 and the D90.
The price has come down recently due to a Nikon recall for this camera which has put a temporary cloud over the model. The recall, if your camera is effected, is to replace a component that switches the camera on and off, nothing to do with picture taking (Nikon fix for free). All stock currently being delivered by Nikon does not now have this fault.

I expect its price to rise again after the recall is behind Nikon, so its a good time to get such a good picture and HD video camera.

Note that the user interface is a significant departure for Nikon on this model, as it goes for an "everything on screen" selector, like olympus, rather then the more conventional SLR button fest.

Lastly, its worth saying that this sensor has the best low light performance from any non-full frame sensor on the market. So its a great camera, amongst other things, for indoor handheld.
