This is also eligible for £40 Nikon cashback effectively taking price to £302 (inc vat). Includes 2 year warranty.

I think it's a great deal if you're in the market for a decent DSLR.
Google it if you need the full spec.

OP states that this is for specs only

It might be cheaper as the price of bag is not known

Just checked costco coventry the price is £382.00. And you can claim £40 cashback

listing error? some places list price after cashback and then hide it in smaller lettering

For avoidance of doubt this deal was in Costco Edinburgh and the price was £342 inc vat before Nikon cashback (the store actually makes no reference to the cashback). I know the deals booklet says £383.98 but this is being sold for £342. They are using colour pre-printed point of sale material which makes me think it's not just a local deal. Good luck.

Just calling in to say nice name

Can you shop at Costco if you don't have a company?

There is none in NI

Its a great camera. I have this and is awesome. You should also get a 50mm lens. It is a must for portraits

Well thanks to OP, just picked one up from Oldham branch, as you said there is a printed sheet showing 'improved offer' never seen that before at costco. A couple of hundred quid lighter but an awsome camera.

Is this good for indoor videos? Low/Med Light ...

Was always considering the 700D but this looks a good offer price.

I have used it for videos indoors and am satisfied. However its strength is pics. It is very difficult to beat in that department. When I bought it, I was thinking about supposedly new D3300, but the results this gave were far better than the new generation D3300. I know D5xxx series is a spec bump up from D3xxx, but still :-)

A long answer to a short question. Yes good video indoors.

Rather 35mm f1.8 and/or 40mm macro. Check before you buy any lenses, if they are for DX format (engine in lens body), because if not u have to focus only manually. Some "cheap" good lenses are 90mm tamron for macro, 55-200 mm nikor but with VR, 18 -105mm nikor as replacement of set 18 - 55mm.

i am not a nikon user but are you sure?
dx and fx i thought were aspc and fullframe just?
50 f1.8 G should work fine as it has autofocus motor built into it even though its 'fullframe' size
...i think! dont blame me though!

as per usual though id not get a 50mm for indoor as its too tight unless you have massive rooms

Any idea how long this offer is on for? Would greatly appreciate the info as I'd need to arrange transport for a 140 mile round trip as I've just had foot surgery.

TIA

Lx

Would this take any Sigma lens?

No u right that was old 50mm, new have engine. but 50 mm on dx are about 75mm no? So for rooms is 50mm really too big.

Just bought this bundle from costco Bristol - very pleased! Labelled at 383 pounds on shelf, but paid the reduced 342 pounds at till (pleasant surprise). Now for the 40 pound cashback....

Can not find any Costco local to me Northampton that has this deal! gutted great price.

Just picked mine up from the Watford Costco. They have a few left in stock

Any views on whether to go for this or the D3300 for around the same price?

D3300.. Ligther and more compact (430gr v's 555gr)
Should be cheaper than than the D5200.

D5200..39 focus points (v's 11) with 9 cross focus points instead of 1.
Flip out screen.

Hmm Lower noise on the D3300 or greater Dynamic range on the D5200, otherwise very similar. Useful link Thanks!

Having gone from a D7000 to D610.
I'd say dynamic range.

Hi, I just bought this from Costco for £342. Thanks OP for posting.
I have 2 questions.

1- The box was not sealed although the camera looks brand new. Just want to know if this was the case with everyone or have they given me a returned product !

2- Can someone explain how to claim for cashback.
Thanks.
