Cracking deal, how's the rear view camera for selfies?

Joking, obviously.
I had one of these and I found the 18-140 lens fantastic as a one lens solution (I know that's not the point of an SLR)

Just my opinion, heat added OP

Indeed, I do run my DSLR with dual lense and it's a pain in the back side to go from near to far when you're in a rush. Don't own such a beast of a camera, mine is a toy DSLR d³³°°...
Nice camera, got one last wk. Heat
the 18-140 is a cracking zoom lens for a walkabout
but struggles in low light Use mine on a D5500 and love the articulated touch screen
Lens is great. Not so much the body.

APS-C format, so focal lengths very roughly doubled compared to 35mm

NIKON so basically the same Nikon-F lens mount as your "steam powered" analogue jobs *BUT* many of the advanced features won't be backwards compatible

Not looking for a replacement for my D3200 or D3100 bodies any time soon, so not voted either way.

The focal length of a lens is a fixed physical property.

indeed, annoying when someone jumps in with a random equivalence statement which introduces more confusion than it 'solves'
especially here when nothing to solve as noone asked

I did a lot of photography and was very active on Flickr 10+ years ago. It made more sense then because many people were buying their first affordable DSLR, having been using a 35mm SLR, so needed to get their heads around what lens they needed to buy to replace the ones they used previously on their 35mm kit. I doubt many are making this step for the first time now and it's also a well established technology.

I have the nikon 24-120 F4 on a d7000 and its great when you are feeling lazy and only want to take one lens.
Paid over 1K for my D7100 a few years ago.
Heat added.
great price with lens, this was considered a good price without lens until recently.
