Just ordered a Nikon D90 from currys for a total of approx 680.64

Currys web price is 779 for the Nikon D90 SLR with 18-105mm VR LENS

However by using the "70SAVE" discount code this prints the price down to 709 which beats argos /amazon by around 30 UKP.

instead of going direct go via topcashback.co.uk where you'll need to register, search for currys, and then enter the site that way, for a further 4% discount via cashback.

End result is 681 UKP -- not bad for a high end amateur SLR with a good starting lens

Remember this doesn't include a memory card, any UV filter, bag/case, external flash etc so this becomes the beginning of a somewhat expensive hobby....

(or 680.64 with topcashback)

Note also that on checkout there's an offer for "whatever happens" cover, which *appears* to offer additional insurance for both mechanical failures (which there's a 2 year warranty for anyway) but also for damage cause for example by sand getting into the SLR.

At 1.99 pcm I opted for this -- opinions may vary on how good it is, but at such a small % of the purchase price I felt it was additional peace of mind.

topcashback? do they offer cashback where Quidco doesn't?

Why cold? This seems a good price.

* ref cashback. I normally use quidco. Unfortunately they're not currently offering CB for currys. I've used topcashback before and a quick google search suggests the 4% rate is pretty reasonable.
* Also interested in why cold... personally I think it's a super price for this particular dslr which retails closer to 800 in most places.
* I have seen availability on the currys web site come and go over the last few days

Good price, I bought it when it was on hotukdeals.com/ite…e=3.

Expired again - should be getting mine soon
