For Nikon owners who just got their first DSLR with an 18-55 kit ..this one should complete your range up to the 200mm telephoto end

It's sold everywhere for £239 (Jessops and Warehouse Express) and a little bit cheaper on Amazon £231.

This one as it may seem is from a market place, but, it's FULFILLED BY AMAZON

This's the new thing. Instead of the traditional hassle you'd get from market place and the no-trust policy...Amazon takes responsibility for everything...free shipping (Super Saver and Prime) ....and on top of all and what matters the most CUSTOMER SUPPORT... (i.e. if anything happens..you deal with Amazon and not the marketplace), saving you all the trouble and headache

I could never trust Marketplace for anything expensive and I found this lens on Fleabay for even cheaper....but I just can't trust them.... I can't afford the the £239 Jessops ask and even if I could, why would I ??

This may not appeal to many who are looking for the easy peasy where you can just go to the shop and throw your stuff and ask them to do their thing.

It comes with 1-yr international warranty and serial number is genuine and both serial numbers on the card and box match.

you save 38.5% which you can put into a decent speedlite or even another lens

Great price, Nikon users should also check out the recent ]Sigma 18-50 thread for a bargain low light lens

I just did...it expired or at least it's not there on Amazon any more...price starts from £319!!

been going around for ages to get this little gem! just got my hands on it today

A great lens for the money (I've got one), though it can be had for a couple of quid cheaper at buyacamera.co.uk (£139.99 + £6.99 postage).

yes, I saw it at camerabox.co.uk for the same price
With all due respect to both sites, I just find Amazon to have better customer support and they're usually flexible!

Camerabox offers 5 yr warranty but only 2 of which have labour included, the remaining three are only for spare parts and you have to pay for labour (which is usually very high considering the tech involved)

You can also get it way cheaper from fleabay if you're willing to take your chances... I just couldn't!

Many of my friends buy lenses from the bay and it's usually decent items but I've always been sceptic.

John Lewis sell the same lens for £149.99 if you can find one in one of their stores - it's out of stock online.

Dude, that's the NONE VR version
it doesn't have vibration reduction built-in!
that's the normal price for a non-VR version...you can find it Jessops and Warehouse Express for the same price too

£139.16 now

What Greenman mentioned was the one without VR (vibration reduction).
There are two version of the same lens
the VR and the non-VR

Obviously, the one with VR will be more expensive, and that is what I was highlighting!
So if you could get the VR version for the non-VR price, it would be a great deal...
