why this vs A7iii (or even A7ii)?

for the 14-30 lens which is filter friendly
This is a fantastic deal. Heat added. The kit with the ftz as well is £2962

I absolutely love mine after swapping it for my d800. If anyone wants to go to a smaller camera but still retain all of the power I’d recommend this. The sensor stabilisation makes low light shots so easy. The kit lens is incredibly sharp too
Ordered one but must be a mis price, surely?!?

Cold. Expensive for a rebadged Mitsubishi.
High card price and poor battery life. Factor these two as it will hit your pocket significantly.

The Z series can take either xqd or the newer and falling in price cf express. As for battery life its perfectly fine, I don't know why this myth continues to float around.

High card prices aren't a myth at the moment, prices may well fall in future but they are very expensive just now

Can buy new grey for £740 on ebay, so maybe £700 without the box?

Tks that would seem reasonable so maybe £650 worst case.
Can't understand why this deal isn't hotter; maybe it's because the lens is a little more specialist.
Why is this lens so expensive at F4 ?

It's suppose to be in line with other makes f4 lenses but it does seem to be a little overpriced.

Really tempted by this deal

most ultra wide lenses have rear filter mechanisms which are cumbersome. front loading filter aside, this lens is light and F4 is not a big deal for landscapes. a very unique lens.
Sucker for a bargain & this has pushed me to go full frame at last, have a load of nikon kit too
Looks like it’s gone up to £1810.01

Ah, would be good to get it at 1760. Does it also take the newer cf cards?

I’ve been looking for a good mirrorless camera for a while it am not particularly experienced! Would you recommend it as a good buy? I sense you have some experience in the matter!

dpreview article comparing the three main FF mirrorless systems is a good read:

On the basis that this a glitch price, you are getting a good deal with this kit. the decision is yours.
Great article - thank you @tempt
Is this really a price glitch though? There’s another with a 24-70 lens for slightly less even - Nikon Z6 + NIKKOR Z 24-70 mm f/4 S Kit amazon.co.uk/dp/…ND7

If one can only have one lens, would you recommend this over the standard kit lens? Thanks!

in terms of usage, you can get by with just this lens for travelling (landscapes, architecture, street photography, etc.). you cannot use this lens for portraits, fast moving objects (kids, sports) or situations where you need a bit of reach (safari, visits to zoo, spying on your neighbour, etc.).

also, composition will be challenging at the wide end if you new to photography.

i do not recommend this lens for beginners.

Thanks Tempt.
Time to do some learning I think! Looks like a stunning camera and a great buy so I’m half minded to learn on the job but it’s a very decent investment that I think warrants some good upfront learning. Would hate to have all the gear and no idea! I would be looking to do buildings and landscapes but also some product photography (primarily).
Now £1966 quite a jump
Anyone found a cheap xqd or cfexpress card?
Dispatched so price honoured
