I thought this might be a good deal at just under a tenner for a Nilfisk for those of you who haven't already been 'sucked in' by the similar, more expensive Karcher Window Vac.

IMHO Nilfisk is comparable quality to Karcher, certainly in my experience with pressure washers. This also has a Lithium battery too whilst some of the cheaper Karchers haven't.

I haven't been able to find on the Maplin eBay store just yet btw (for those looking for free shipping) but it may yet come up.

Not sure because you're link isn't working for me but if its this tesco.com/dir…ers you mean then the answer's no it doesn't. This link doesn't work either BTW unless you copy and paste the text to address bar.

It doesn't, also Box who sell on Tesco have it cheaper by a few quid on their own site too:

£9.99 is a steal for this alone anyways
please just explain why?
What I'm really unclear on here is; does the product itself clean the window or just wipe away pre-applied water?

The Asda one comes with a spray bottle and a cloth which suggests you have to do that bit first and "then" use the wiper to suck away the water; in which case if the Maplin one doesn't come with this you still have to actually wash the window first and "then" use the product to suck away the water.

In which case it seems a very expensive way to do it? The alternative being to buy a blade from the pound shop then wipe the water away as a professional window cleaner would using just a cloth to mop it up once wiped to the bottom of the window.

I could understand it, and indeed would buy it, if it was an "all-in-one clean the window and dry it afterwards" product but if I still need to wash the window with an alternative product it sounds like more of a faff.

Or have I completely misunderstood it!
ordered thanks

You have to clean first then you can use this to remove moisture, or use a rubber/blade LOL Im sticking to the Pro method which is a lot cheaper and doesn't require any electricity.

If you lived in a house with more windows than brickwork like I do you'd understand why straight away.
If you need to make up £10.00 for delivery, the Maplin 8 Part Folding Aluminium Star Key Set is only 46p. Thanks to OP, by the way.
I might add, these are great for removing condensation from house and car windows.
worth a pop
these kind of comments are always helpful and welcome.
These are better than the Karcher version as the shape of them allows you to get to the bottom of any window with a window ledge without having to turn the device sideways.

Window ledges stop Karcher vacs so you end up having to turn them sideways which eventually allows water to leak out of the collection container and get into the electronics then it's game over for your £50 bit of yellow plastic!

That's what I use my karcher for. A god send to those with condensation prone houses.
Nilfisk products are brilliant and this should be good for clearing the overnight condensation on my camper van windows

I've had a Karcher vac for years and I'd go out on a limb and say that removing condensation is actually what they're best for.
I use my Karcher for drying myself after a shower!
yep use it for condensation !
Can I use this to dry the dog?
nearest availability to us is 190 miles away !!

Im going out on a limb here but i think not
I had a vax one but the water ingress rendered it knackered so i got a karcher one and its great, i must admit i couldnt understand the point to these at first but i am now a convert it was great for condensation on the windows after a newly plastered canservatory and its great for washing the windows, for all thoes tight **** that say " oh its cheaper to use a pound shop rubber blade " its cheaper to walk but i bet you have a car. Things move on, get with it
Now says discontinued. Must all be gone.
Never heard of this Brand before, are they any good?. :-)
typical of maplins, low stock around the country, nice price if u can find one...nearest one for me is in cambridge 269 miles away, somehow i dont think its worth me driving that far hehe
Rubbish analogy.
4 in stock at Cambridge store
None for 80 miles, not available to order
sold out - wont let me pay for the ones in cambridge
only 4 in cambridge.
Surprised there are still some left in Cambridge.
Coming up saying nearest store 359 miles lol but only c&c oh and it's only 40 miles away lol
Mine turned up today - with no charger in the box
