    Dishwasher safe?

edit: NVM - they're not (edited)

Afraid not. From the FAQ on the Ninja site

No, to clean your knives, hand wash and immediately dry thoroughly to prevent watermarks, spotting and rusting. Do not touch sharp edge of knife. Dishwashing your knives can decrease the quality of the knife, damage the blade edge, and reduce the stainless steel integrity. To increase the lifetime of your knives, only hand wash.

If you're not in urgent need of a set of knives, set up a notification for these -

Crazy price, and they do come into stock sometimes.
We picked these up a while ago and it's by far the best set I've had (also a very well established knife brand), the built in sharpeners keep the knives stupidly sharp!

    Thanks for the TiP!!!!

I did exactly that.. with the stock alert... and they came back in today. Snapped them up for that price (£80)... dishwasher proof too..

Looking forward. My current set is rubbish. How does one go about disposing of a set of knifes out of interest.. seems a bit irresponsable to check em in the rubbish bin.

hmmmm ....should I go for this set or this one --> amazon.co.uk/ZWI…X3T any thoughts?

We have a similar set (see my post below).
Superb knives and the sharpeners work too well! Very easy to cut yourself with just the slightest touch.

We've had various brands before and these are the best so far (I prefer these to my sons ProCook X70's).

Actually the company I got mine from have similar sets for pretty good prices -

The one with scissors looks good but not for nearly £70 more!

They were at 118 during prime day. Twas cheaper than without the scissors. Hopefully will do again

They could have hired someone who remotely knows cooking and that the sharp edge of the knife is NEVER to be used to push food off the chopping board...

That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. You will easily roll an edge doing this, no matter the material. Anything is far more fragile when it’s taken to a fine point. Even wooden boards will blunt your knife eventually. If your rule applied, you would never need to sharpen a knife, I don’t tent to cut things harder than steel in the kitchen. I can crush a steel can in my hands, but you won’t see me doing it to an ingot.

Not a brand I would associate with good quality knives, but the reviews on Amazon look very good, the idea of the knives locking into the sharpener sounds like a good idea.

Been after something like this for a while. Reviews seem great so will take the plunge! Thanks OP

My thoughts exactly. I see people raving about how sharp these are, much rather have some Zwilling/Henckels.
Any knife is sharp until they go into the dishwasher 😋

I saw sabatier knives 10 piece edgekeeper block for around £50 - (I can't remember the exact price), in my local Costco? Thoughts

Yes, sometimes I happen to have them.

Look a good set but I couldn't have knives on show in the kitchen.. Clear worktops only here
    jonnybravo's avatar
Thats the reason I cant have them. Only thing allowed on worktops is kettle and toaster, according to the Mrs.
