I didn't say there was, you just didn't put that in your statement.

This is the cheapest NEW DS available at the moment and a great price for it too.

I posted this deal earlier today and it was expired due to the fact the orders stopped going through, it allows you to add item to basket but not complete checkout.

Bitter?

Nintendo are an absolute shambles these days, and the naming of this product reflects that perfectly.

If your average consumer was confused between the differences between the DS and the 3DS, this will only make matters worse.

From their point of view: What is a 3DS without the 3D? A normal DS. Why buy another DS when they or their kids likely have a perfectly good last gen DS lying around?

They need to completely scrap their current conventions if they want to actually start making a profit again.

Oh, and I can't wait to see the inevitable circle pad pro for this thing. It will be hilarious.

well bought a 3ds and the 3d button was never turned on so might try one of these

Is there any advantage over your 3DS with the 3D turned off?

Well the 2DS is designed for kids, for whom it's recommended not to play with 3D on as it can damage their eyes.

Yeah those hinges were a pain with the regular DS Lite, I had to replace a few of the cases when my nephews and neices kept breaking theirs. Never again it was a **** pain, specially with those flimsy little springs they had in there, only thing I found worse is the PS3 controllers triggers a pain in the **** they are.

I would have liked the 2DS (and picked one up) if they just left it as one bigger screen, instead of putting that plastic front to give you the illusion of have two screens. Nintendo could have appealed to parents who were undecided between a handheld or tablet for their kids, and they could use the full screen for web browing or exclusive 2DS titles through the e-shop.

I would have got rid of my old 3DS and got one of these if they had done that, I get a migraine and blurry vision from playing in 3D even for 15 minutes so it's a useless feature for me.

Yeah its the fact they put a piece of plastic across the screen and absolutely nothing to do with having to rewrite an absolute **** ton of code...

Hi Sorry That sucks ,

Sorry the item(s) could not be delivered to your address and have been added to your save for later list. Please select an alternative item.

WTF I thought i'd check it out as my nephew did plan to get one today to play Red & Blue and this is the message I get? I live in West Yorkshire not **** Australia, how can they not deliver here? I know Royal Mail is getting privatised but they haven't stopped delivering to Town in West Yorkshire.

Should have called it the 2DY because I can't help but ask why this thing even exists. Clearly Nintendo were never really serious about the whole 3D thing.

This has the same size screens as the 3DS XL though which is miles better than the tiny 3ds screens.

Are you sure about that?

My 1 daughter is blind in her 1 eye so doesn't have 3D vision, the 2DS is perfect without the rubbish hinge of the 3DS

Does the 2DS play games that are made for the 3DS?
-So like the new Pokemon series, X & Y? Unless, I have to buy a 3DS which misses the whole point of these.

The 2DS plays all 3DS and DS games.

hi all I called tesco at lunch and customer service said that it hadn't been set up properly for delivery and would be sorted by tonight or tomorrow?

DS is a brand (a hugely successful brand) and a huge advertising push in 2011 clearly told consumers that the 3DS was the successor to DS which worked since sales rocketed, so consumers KNOW what 3DS is. There is also a new ad campaign that clearly mentions that the 2DS is a member of the 3DS family but without the 3D and that it plays all DS and 3DS games.

Following the success of the 2DS, details have leaked on Nintendo's next leap forwards in the handheld market:
