Should probably have added that it's manufacturer refurbished. Still a good deal, though, heat added.

Fair enough. It just seems like such details are important to people.
New 2DS' are available at GraingerGames for £69. Only the White/Red one. £62.99 Refurb for the Black/Blue is very good also for those wanting it, heat from me.
Much more worth the £7 more for a new one, Cold.
Cold as I really Don't see the point in 2ds's
Agree
Vote hot or cold for the deal
Not if you are going to buy it or not!!!

Sorry but I have to disagree, Argos refurbs in my experience have been very bad, have had lots of marks and scratches and have even been dirty - a manufacturer refurb laptop for example I bought - sometimes you may just get an open box product. My point is you never know as it's very hit and miss
I've bought 4 items from Argos outlet, and two were DOA (one was a watch, one was a camcorder). Same with Amazon Warehouse, one said 'minor box damage', it was a computer monitor and it was bent in half where something had pierced the box and gone through the housing!!

Still, excellent price for the unit if you get a good one, heat added (I'll stick to my 3DS XL though, if only the 2DS had the XL size screens I'd have snapped one up!).

I wonder what the Argos or other companies definition of refurb is?

I agree, in my experience very hit and miss... I have bought pristine items, but I also bought a camera that came in working order, but smelling strongly of cigarettes... not pleasant at all... they refunded though

Thanks Ms.Gem!
Thank you. My daughter is special needs and has gone through 3 ds lites and 2 ds originals, hinges go as she is heavy handed. Was going to get her one of these for her birthday in 2 weeks time. Perfect timing. Can now buy her an extra game. Great price with a 12 month warranty.

Yes and with all parents of new young gamers being rich, they'll happily pay more money for the 3DS, those kids also get the pleasure of doing the hinge clicking rhythm game, until they break.

That "annoying flappy hinge" is rather handy for keeping the screens totally protected. The Nintendo Slate posted here is cumbersome and almost completely non-portable unless you buy a case for it - which Nintendo will of course be quite happy to relieve you of even more money for. You don't even particularly need to buy a travel case for the 3DS - rubbish as the 3D element of that is.

I think the point was that is less likely to break.

But that's the integral part of the entire DS range. I'm sure my car doors are less likely to break if I superglued them shut but that wouldn't be a great move either.
can these play backed up games?
do any adults play on this??

A new one costs just £7 more.

poor comparison. The 2DS is more like a buggy that you just hop into and drive. It reviews as being more comfortable as it happens.
better off with a second hand or refurb dsi
