Some good prices for some little games. I have also compared the prices to what you get on Nintendo eShop. Hope this list helps someone.

I honestly have no idea on the second hand market for ds games which is …I honestly have no idea on the second hand market for ds games which is why I asked..

Ignore the rude response. Most if not all of these are digital download only since (case and point) N64, NES and most other retro games on this list would be costly to manufacture physical boxes, manuals etc for them.

The closest you would get to it is obviously if you were to buy the original games outright or some updated version or remaster of it. Hope this helps

Thank you so much for adding the eShop price. This thread is invaluable!
Heated great effort OP, I love threads like these that go the extra mile to provide useful comparison

What are the chances of finding hard copies of these games for the same price?

Can you get these games on the 2d xl
Do these games work on a 2dxl

Yes they do. The SNES titles don't work on the first varient of 3DS or the non foldable 2DS.
All look good apart from Pokemon Red and Blue, I think its worth 14p more to buy direct and not have fanny about entering codes

The only ones available as physical releases are:
From memory, out of this list only Star Fox 64 is regularly available at £10 or less.
I bought my younger sister a 3DS a long time ago but I don't know how how digital games work with it. Only ever used physical cartridges.

Will someone can explain how I get these on to the 3DS?

Thanks in advance
I was hoping for a discount on Pokemon Crystal.

By the way I really recommend Pokemon Dream Radar for anyone playing the Pokemon Black & White 1&2 games as you get loads of legendaries to transfer with hidden abilities.

Obviously after transferring to the black white games you can then transfer to later games with Pokemon having their hidden abilities.

You basically will get a code from shopto that enables you to download the game using the WiFi on the 3ds. Straightforward stuff really
Better get ready to stock up on legal digital copies of 3DS and Wii U games over the next few months, it’s about to begin... slashgear.com/nin…567/
Good stuff , thanks.
Can these downloaded games be saved into SD card? If low on internal memory.
Haven't used my 3DS XL in a few years, tempted to buy old Mario & DK games

Does that mean all online services will be ending at a similar time? Admittedly I only played Super Mario Maker on the Wii U for about an hour after buying it, so that's on me, but my eldest is finally starting to get into gaming via the Wii U.
Worth pointing out that you won't be able to down these again after the end of July
