Nintendo 3DS XL console and Epic Mickey 2 for £139.99 @ Argos

£139.99Argos Deals

Found 8th May 2013
Just spotted this on the Argos website. The 3DS XL is £129.99 but you can add the Epic Mickey 2 game (rrp £29.99) for just £10 extra!

Works out as £10 cheaper if you were to buy both at amazon

Hot but only the red xl is this price and already discussed on the argos xl deal

This was kind of already discussed on the weekend'd £10 off 3ds xl Argos thread. But some people may have missed it so have some heat.

Hot for both.

The 3DS XL price collapse, as predicted in earlier threads continues...

By summer it'll be £99.99 for the console... mark my words!

Kinda low highjacking there ... oh and youve posted in the wrong section (should be in 'gaming') - or is that to make it less obvious?

CEX give £9 cash or £13 exchange for the game

going to return the xl with mario 159.99 and buy this instead , can always get the mario game seperate , better than built in anyway

God I hope you're right. £99.99 is the price I'm holding out for. The Zelda announcement has got my purchase finger twitching though... hope I can hold out!

price collapse? as I said to you in another thread a little while back where you posted this bs, the xl was ~£180 at release end of july last year. £50 in 9-10 months isn't exactly a price crash, this only for the red colour the others are £150+ so that's £30 off rrp since release.

it wouldn't be £100 for summer, xmas the red maybe(thats a maybe, not it will be) £100 but the other colours not likely.

I bought myself lugi's mansion ( I had a voucher) from argos, its fab, a must buy game!. each level takes about 20-45 mins at my girly check stuff thoroughly speed, its great

Lol - great comment.

Currently playing through Bioshock again;
a) checking every single corpse for items
b) listening to every boring tape recorder
c) hacking every single machine/camera/drone

FWII, I think the 3DS will hold it's value... Lots of AAA games coming out (or out already), a decent price point and no real competition. BTW, I'm not slating the Vita as a device, I just don't believe Nintendo are that worried by it.

The Wii U on the other hand........

I'm SO glad you "piped up" in response to my comment...

You continually call my comments "bs" and make out like I don't know what I am talking about...

The 3DS XL WILL drop to £99.99 very soon, as it hasn't been the machine it should have been...

You surely have seen with your own eyes the price drops, seemingly coming thick and fast... so we will no doubt "talk" again in the next couple of months when the £99.99 is reached...

Please refrain from calling my comments and opinion "bs", it is uncalled for...

please show me where the price drop for the !!!!!!!!XL!!!!!!! version has come thick and fast, you seem to ignore the fact the rrp was £180 and it's £150 for the standard colours(red, silver, blue, etc) in most places with £130 for the red on and off over the past few months(well amazon and play did £130 or was it a bit cheaper for all the standard colours back in january). £30 drop from the rrp isn't a huge drop neither is it price drops coming thick and fast as you seem to be claiming(thus your comments being BS).

think you're confusing yourself with the original 3ds when it was released and the recent price drops on the wii u.

the 3ds xl not being the machine it should have been? other than missing a second thumb stick what is missing? you can't claim 'no games' any more as the 3ds has lots of goods game for it with more to be released over the coming months.

OP hasn't commented in those threads, what makes you think he's read them?

Not 'low' in the slightest.

sorry but I am going to call you out on your comments too. Having the normal 3ds at £99.99 makes sense, however, the 3ds xl is easily worth the £30 difference.

Have to say I'm still holding out for a blue 3ds xl. Amazon currently cheapest on that at £139.99, sub £130 and I'm done. Yes the red is the same console but I like what I like.

As a consumer I'd love a cheaper console.

With my marketing hat on though, it's highly unlikely to hit £99 this summer. As part of a Christmas or Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale possibly, but not earlier. Several big hitters are launching then and with demand for the consoles expected to increase it makes little marketing and financial sense for retailers to reduce the price of what will be an in demand item in the summer.

For a further price drop to happen, here are some hypothetical scenarios: retailers need to be in a situation where they need more cashflow in a short space of time or Nintendo announces a new 3DS model (as opposed to a new colour) or Nintendo initiates another price cut for the 3DS and 3DS XL. The latter two are improbable: Nintendo already said there's no new hardware to announce at E3 and they've got an ambitious profit goal to meet so there's no way they'll maximise revenue over profits.

HOT

have some heat :-) :-)

I came across this deal whilst browsing the best prices for the 3ds xl and thought it might be of some use to others. Subsequently similar deals have been posted, did I know? No. Do I care? No. Do I think you are a complete tool? Yes.

Great deal, Because you a great 3DS xl cheap and a game to start you off + 750 Nintendo Stars points for the 3DS + 250 if it's your first time to register & you also get 300 Disney reward points too

Went for this with Epic Mickey, had a go on the free demo, seemed worth a tenner. My second 3DS XL in just two weeks! :-)
