Seems to be the lowest price it's ever been according to camelcamelcamel, and who doesn't like Yoshi?

Good spot, I'll edit it now.

Sloth/Mod

Added GAME to the title as well Great spot, it's a lovely console

guessing it doesn't come with a game.

as much as I love Amazon, Game deserve the credit here, as all Amazon does is match Games price (must drive them mad TBH)

Don't forget your quidco/TCB + reward points if shopping at game

Heat for Game. I'm so tempted by this but have such a huge backlog of games I'm trying to hold off. I helps a little that it's the yoshi edition...

Monkey nuts 2

Just a console, no game.

Seriously tempted by this but then the number of 80+ rated games I'd want to play is probably not high enough to justify a purchase:

metacritic.com/bro…esc

Can anyone recommend anything beyond the usual Mario, Luigi, Zelda?

Some of my favourite third party titles include - Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars, Ridge Racer 3D, Ace Combat, Need for Speed: The Run, Rhythm Thief, Bit Trip Saga, Batman Origins Blackgate, LEGO Pirates of the Carribean, Resident Evil Revelations and The Mercenaries 3D.

Plenty of gems on the eShop too.

Tales of the Abyss, Project X Zone, Layton Vs. Ace Attorney, lots of Level 5 games for download, Fire Emblem, Pokemon X n Y, Starfox 64 3D as it's a pretty good port, New Leaf, Virtue's Last Reward, Rhythm Thief spring to mind in the non Zelda/Mario front of games I have sitting on my desk at home.

No suprise to see the price of this falling so soon.

Should be all green throughout. Lazy Nintendo, great price. Heated.

Tempted! Only got the Luigi one a while back... Hmmm... One for at home and one for at work??.... ! :-0

Wish this stopped being available already, jeez. Nothing can make any value anymore...

great looking console! heat

Indeed. Lazy and cheap. I don't blame them though because Nintendo know that the more obsessive members of their dwindling fanbase will buy pretty much anything of this nature no matter what. Smart business.

That's what you get for paying retail on release day

Fire Emblem Awakening! The only game I have on my 3ds other than Super Mario 3d Land which I goy through the promotion last year for registering my XL and Fire Emblem on Club Nintendo

Paid £150 about a week ago, I hate that lol

Pretty mad that this is like £30 cheaper than a standard 3DS XL from Amazon. I opted to go for Game's pre-owned 3DS XL @ £85 though. I don't think I'd have paid anywhere near the release RRP for this but I guess it's not a bad deal if you really want Yoshi on your 3DS.

Reviews say it doesn't come with a charger. How much does that add to the cost?

£6.99 if you buy from Amazon.

I didn't. I paid about £159.99 a month after it's release.
If I knew they would be remaking Pokemon Sapphire/Ruby I would of held on for the special edition console for them
(which will obviously happen)

Game sell a 3DS charger for £2 I think it is.

Gotta get rid of them don't they. They're quite ghastly

Found a mispriced copy from my local electronics store for £70 couple of weeks ago
A must have for any Nintendo collector

There doesn't seem to be anyone more obsessive about Nintendo than you...

Does this come with a charger and a game? Please pardon my ignorance, just want to buy for my 7 year old son.

Poor attempt at trolling.

No, it doesn't. But GAME sells very cheap chargers.

What a deal! Best 3ds xl deal so far!

Anyone know if this is instore at Game too or online only? Can't find a number for my local store, they just have a centralised 0870 number

As much as I love Yoshi as a character the design of this limited edition most definitely is more suitable for kids, not big kids!

Poor attempt at trolling.

I am not sure they were trolling, I mean you spend a heck of a lot of time in just about every Nintendo thread instead of objectively looking at the situation bashing away, anybody would think you would gleefully be happy if Nintendo went under, are you really a gamer even?

List that doesn't include Mario, Luigi, or Zelda (or Donkey Kong):
Rhythm Thief (Music game)
Crimson Shroud (this is my highest recommendation if you've ever, at any point in your life, enjoyed Dungeons and Dragons) (RPG) Liberation Maiden (Action shooter)
Kid Icarus (Action)
Animal Crossing (Life simulation)
Bravely Default (RPG)
Attack of the Friday Monsters (err... RPG? Hard to classify)
Steamworld Dig (metroidvania)
Gunman Clive (platform shooter)
Fire Emblem Awakening (TRPG)
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (Put in over 500+ hours and counting) (Action RPG)
Professor Layton series including Professor Layton X Ace Attorney (Puzzle)
Nintendo Pocket Football Club (football management simulation)
Zen Pinball and Marvel Pinball 3D (Pinball simulation)
Tales of the Abyss (Action RPG)
Pullblox and Fallblox (Puzzle)
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked (RPG)
Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars (TRPG)
Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 3D (Football simulation)
Project X Zone (TRPG)

this list should keep you busy for a long time to come until Super Smash Bros 3DS releases and beyond.

And will likely have the same value as the other special edition Pokemon 3DS console designs - Pikachu is crazy expensive.

Just checked the price, £400?!

Maybe I should've bought a Pikachu one!

looks cheap imo.... like those cheap decal stickers simply put on a white XL....guess so long as it plays the games in XL it doesnt matter?
