nice to see them early, but way overpriced. unless desperate

My local (Weston Favell, Northampton) was selling them for £10.99 and had all but Little Mac.

But they were also selling the first wave for £14.99

Just bought 9

As a casual collector I've got lots of Link figures and stuff but only a few Zeldas. Think I'll get Zelda

Good price at £10.99. I couldn't understand why GAME were selling Wave 1 in store for £14.99 but online for £10.99.

Game.co.uk and game stores are run as 2 seperate businesses but under the Game Group banner. Online prices are cheaper due to 1 warehouse for storage. Running a shop let alone over 340 costs alot more.

Yea but their markup in store takes the ****. A significant number of items are at least 25% more expensive in store, these are almost 50% more expensive. I rarely buy in store now, I price match cex on trades and then use the credit on the website. Tbh if they carry on ripping off their in store buyers then I wouldn't be surprised if they become online only.

Maybe that is why their pos website keeps going down, to get people in store.

Game are making good profits now, they will be here for a long time.

Try running a shop and charging the same as online stores

I'm pretty sure they thought that when they bought Gamestation and had multiple stores in each city.

It's not online stores in general, it is their own online store, I understand there would be some price difference but 25-50% is a massive mark up. A lot of chains have a price online that I can also get in store, whether it be the same anyway or in cases like PC world I can either reserve it or get them to price match their own site, in the case of places like Argos it costs more to buy it online with delivery and they run enough shop fronts. They are running them as separate entities but to consumer they aren't so it just looks like they are ripping off the people who would like to buy in store, it wouldn't be so bad if they were even competitive on the highstreet.
