Some say that they are the illegitimate child of David Dickinson and that they once went to a 1980's roller disco dressed up as Madge Bishop from Neighbours. All we know is that they're called Chanchi32.

I had high hopes that my SNES would be a Babe magnet, but somehow it just didn't seem to happen ....

Complete and utter nonsense. Super Mario is a good little game, but you can't compare retro gaming to modern gaming. Modern gaming is in another league as it rightly should be. The Last of Us and Uncharted 4 annihilate any retro gaming for example.

Retro gaming is about reminiscence, which is a natural part of being human, longing for the past. Not everyone needs the past.

This video sums it up perfectly >

Retro gaming = Nostalgia vs the jaded person you become Still love VFD games though, it's the bright neon colours
Modern gaming sucks your life away. I haven't got the time to get into modern games. Retro games offer the ability to play for 10-20 mins at a time then go and do something in the real world.

I just wish more Nintendo, SEGA and Commodore 64 titles could be made available on iOS.
How are modern games "better" when was the last time any modern game was so tough you couldn't complete it??? Like never. Don't be so foolish, indie games are not so poplar right now because they look nice... Innovative gameplay > the 500th COD clone

Wish I could have blamed my lack of girls on Nintendo. Think it was more to do with my face and body odour.
Does it take cartridges or let you add more games? Can't find any info.
Yeah retro gaming doesn't compare to modern games at all, those of us that still play them and enjoy them are kidding themselves..... Much like classic movies from 60/70/80s don't stand up to special effect laden movies of today..... Just because something is old doesn't mean it isn't still as good and as fun and relevant as it ever was.

No, just the games pre-installed. Also it doesn't include an AC adapter.
Look i love all the up to date games like the last of us etc but you complete then within a week or so unlike the classics like mario, zelda etc

You two too? I thought I was alone with that. I still keep buying every console that comes out, but the birds still don't flock round to play with me

What a cynical, miserable post. Don't compare the two then!
To say the only reason people play retro game is that they're stuck in the past, or longing for the past is ridiculous, there's tons of retro games out there which are hugely playable. It doesn't have to be one or the other.
However, if you grew up with NES/SNES games, and you never got into the current FPS borefest, why wouldn't retro games be more your thing? Is it not possible you just relate to these titles as you enjoyed them? This to you is what video games are about?
I played Uncharted 4, I have no desire to return, in my humble opinion it looked absolutely stunning, but was insanely dull.
For the limited time I have to play, I'd much rather explore the myriad of old NES and ZX Spectrum titles, than chug through whatever game is hip with the kids this week.
Got it. Thanks

Top post, agree 100%.

I much prefer buying/playing retro games these days.
Inside this NES is just a different version of a Pi, with 30 games crammed on the internal 1MB of memory. Probably incredibly cheap to make.

Personally, I've just spent £20 and built a RetroPi. I bought all the original games in the 90's and although I don't have them now, I don't feel as bad downloading them.

I can't warrant £45 on this when I only like 25% of the games on it, so Pi it is.
HappyShopper

I see Sega are planning on releasing something similar.

Sega have had this type of thing out for ages. Difference is that they outsourced to cheap Chinese companies, and really only licenced the games. As a result, the quality of the current Sega offerings is somewhat poor.
