Considering its 140 everywhere and sold out, finding it for the RRP is actually a deal in my eyes

Oh. And I’ve still got mine !

The ones moaning on here just looove mouthing off don't they. If you're not interested pass on by thanks. We really aren't interested in listening to your crap that you either don't think this is a deal or you can get them on an emulator for free.

If it's not a Polaroid TV for £4.99 they just aren't interested.

£69.99 is rrp

Only on amazon, all other retailers do 80

talk about milking it some anemic arm soc worth about £15
bargain at £80

think not

nintendo the kings of milking it

If it was £50 like the one last year i would consider it but £80 for something that probably wont get much play after the initial week after Christmas it just doesn't seem worth it

heat added thanks for the heads up but unfortunately my nearest smyths is miles away and no option for click and collect by the time i get there tomorrow probably be gone but thanks anyway x

Been keeping a look out for a friend who lives in Gt. Harwood, so your image gives me hope...

If people can wait I'm sure they've said they plan to keep production up for a year or to keep supplies for a year on this.
After all the lost sales of the NES mini they would want to milk this one better

Nope. Nintendo has set the rrp at £69.99. it’s what Nintendo sell it as, all the other stores are adding an extra £10 on to the rrp.

There are quite a few in stock about. Around 200 at the moment.

Just thought to share in case people claim that they only put out 2 each time.

Nope, got my argos order for 69.99
I think Tesco done that price too

The 69.99 only comes with one controller as per Nintendo website so this might be 79.99 because of additional controller

None in any of NI branch

6 in stock in hull for those interested

No, they all come with two controllers.

So getting license to publish some games on the console, cost of parts, advertising, labour production and shipping all comes to £15 per unit??
And you will be added to the next Millionaire winner who lost their money in a matter of years

Going for an average of £90 on Ebay, I notice one seller has added another 165 games and achieved £165.
Asking for trouble one way or another...

15+ In stock in Edinburgh

I think the novelty of this will wear off quicker than the Christmas pudding

I don’t think these will be in short supply as the nes mini.

Even if they sell on eBay for £100. You lose nearly 20 % in postage. eBay fees and Paypal fees.

Don’t think ‘in stock’ necessarily means it’s available to buy in stores. May well be pre orders. Smyths have previous for this.

Last year with hatchimals springs to mind however this does appear to be a significant restock.
Amazon have had new units but only for prime now members, argos and game are both expecting deliveries before Christmas (game stores have already received new units but not all stores) so it looks good for those who actually want one, less so for the resellers with the "these will be £200+ at Christmas" line of thought.

I loved the snes but aside from a couple of the games on this, there are just rubbish titles on this.

Hoping they will release a mini n64 with goldeneye! That would be worth it!

Nope, i got mine from Nintendo for £69.99 it definitely comes with two controllers. There is only one UK version of the mini SNES they all have two controllers.

£69.99 when I got mine in Argos

£80 for a Snes emulator? I bet half the people buying didn't even grow up with one.

So when the iPhone x sells out because they are making less of it when someone has it in stock for £1200 is that a deal ? Nintendo have been doing this for years to make their products more popular.

It doesn't even have half the games too! Buy a £10 android box and stick all 800 games on within 10 minutes! Guess its not technically legal but people have been doing it for years!

Milking it, or maybe running a business

What is people don't understand about Nintendo setting the RRP at £69.99 - £79.99 on this?

Couldn't believe it yesterday when just out of chance I checked Smyths website and it showed six in stock in my local store! Finally managed to pick one up, it surprised me how small the box is, Its not much larger than the boxes the cartridges used to come in!

Still not opened it mind, its still in the boot of my car

The processor actually costs less than £15, you'd be suprised. The entire system is manuafactured for roughly this price, other costs are minimal.
I don't think this system will be as hard to come by as the NES, Nintendo were testing the waters and simultaneously setting the standard.
Now they've conditioned customers to expect these systems to be rare / expensive. Moving the SNES becomes easier

My local CEX has about 15-20 the suckers!

I can’t imagine them getting the licence for Goldeneye since Rare haven’t had the Bond licence for years. That’s why it’s never been truly remastered, only a crap wii version made by someone else

Console they released 25 years ago outselling their latest. Funny

Oh. And I’ve still got mine !
