For the first time, handheld gamers will have the freedom to unleash their inner rock star anywhere, anytime with Activision's upcoming Guitar Hero: On Tour for Nintendo DS. The game delivers a unique Guitar Hero experience by challenging handheld gamers to rock out and prove their shredding skills on the most diverse set list of master tracks ever offered in a Guitar Hero game, including classic rock, alternative and pop favourites such as Nirvana, OK Go and No Doubt.

The game will be packaged with a revolutionary Guitar Hero Guitar Grip peripheral that fits snugly into the DS and a unique Guitar Hero pick-stylus that brings a new dimension to handheld gaming and the core gameplay that defines Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero: On Tour has been designed specifically for the DS platform and will offer the DS audience an all-new compelling music experience.

A new Nintendo DS bundle lets aspiring axe shredders claim that coveted status right from day one. The new Silver/Black Nintendo DS branded with the Guitar Hero logo will be available exclusively as part of a limited-time bundle with Guitar Hero: On Tour.

I got it and think it's excellent for what it is and the price of it, the way it works is so much like the proper console GH games it's unreal. On the down side it is quite short though as I whittled through almost all the songs on medium setting over a couple of hours, great fun while it lasts. There's only 25 songs I think and the tracks aren't all that strong I guess - also too many of them are cover versions if you get me.

As you may know the DS's speaker is pretty poor so I would advise using headphones from the off - but the music reproduction is still a bit rough around the edges if honest.

Theres obviously another one or two difficulty settings - and wireless play too

I suppose it's likely that there'll be sequels so if you get one and also have an R4DS etc you can use the guitar grip on the sequels in .nds rom form maybe.......

What? Nah it's the console PLUS the game and guitar grip controller.

The game is quite fun, although if you are a previous player of GH you will easily complete it within a few hours to be honest.

It is easyier, doesn't sound great, the attachment keeps falling off and is tricky to get hold of, cramps in your arms quite a lot too.

Overall though, its a good game, but to be honest, if you have played GH before, will just be worthless after 3-4 hours play.

Yep pretty much:thumbsup:

You reminded me I forgot to say that the guitar grip comes out of the gba slot real easy - the game packs up and freezes, needing a reset.
