Saw this offer after browsing the site looking for cheap wii and ds games.

Am so gutted as i bought console the other day with a not so good game for £100. If only i waited as i love guitar hero!

Hopefully, some people can take advantage of offer, as i know choices uk usually run out of stock quickly when they have good offeres on.

Also as its over £25, you will get free delivery

I think you can also get cashabck from certain sites (i think Cashback Kings do).

Ignore me...it says LITE on the picture if you enlarge it!

This bundle was available with lite only

if you enlarge the picture it says its a ds lite so probably is

Yeah it is, you can't buy the old version any more, plus the picture shows a DS Lite

price of DS lite will fall further

Very good price

nah mate. the whole sale price of the wii has even gone up. I wouldn't expect that to go down anytime soon.

unless retailers really wanna squash their profit margins

very very tempting

iv got the game and have two ds lites at home. My brother had one and as mine broke i bough a new one just a matter of days ago. Now i am absolutely gutted. Buying this package would have saved me over £40 rather than buying it separately.

I am tempted to buy one, but dont think i can justify it!

Super post OP. Ordered. Great model, great value.

Well spotted - thanks for sharing. HOT!

Its a shame though as the Guitar Hero Logo looks like it is part of the paint job. Wanted it for daughters birthday...
:x

Superb deal - was a bit miffed I missed out on from Tesco at £84.67! Now I'm glad I waited!

Is this still the best price for a DS Lite, even without a game??

Yes the logo is actually printed on the DS (I've got one). Still, the silver/black colour combination is nice (and I don't think you can buy it that colour without the logo). Great price too!

I got all excited and bought one. Now, can anyone tell me what the 'Lite' bit means and is there a version that's not so Lite? Hope my Q makes sense! Thanks.

Is that A sticker on the lid or part of the paint?

The Lite was the 2nd Version.
There was the original Nintendo ds which was quite bulky, then they introduced the DS Lite which was a bit smaller and looked better and now theres the DSi, which has the camera, but this version costs between £130-£150.

I personally dont see the need to buy the new version, as i already have cameras on my mobile phone which are rarely used anyway.

Paul,
Thanks for the post and the follow up answer...H&R added.

The Lite model came out 3 years ago to replace the original Nintendo DS. Improved screen (better backlighting), longer battery life, much improved quality and overall look&feel more modern and streamlined. Plays same games on both.

For the obsessives, specific details here:

Differences between the DS Lite and the original DS

Weight: 218 g / 7.69 oz (21% lighter than the DS)

Dimensions: 133 mm × 73.9 mm × 21.5 mm (vs. 148.7 mm × 84.7 mm × 28.9 mm—42% less volume than the DS). In imperial units, the DS Lite is 5.24 in × 2.9 in × 0.85 in

Extended battery life compared to the DS. With a full three-hour charge, the battery lasts fifteen to nineteen hours on the lowest brightness setting and five to eight hours on the highest brightness setting (both are dependent on the type of interactivity).][6] After 500 charges, battery life can be expected to drop.][6] The DS was supplied with a 850 mAh battery, while the DS Lite has a 1000 mAh battery.

Brighter, more durable top and bottom LCD screens, with four levels of brightness. Designed to be more resistant to shock.][7] The option of turning the backlight off in the main menu has been removed.

Larger ]stylus, making it easier to hold][7] (stylus dimensions: length 87.5 mm × 4.9 mm vs. 75.0 mm × 4.0 mm of the DS). The stylus is now also side-loaded and located next to the power switch, making it easier to reach when needed.

In Japan, the wrist strap no longer includes a thumb stylus; in North America, Australia and Europe, the wrist strap is no longer included at all, though there is still a place to attach it.

The ]D-pad was reduced to 18.6 mm across (16% smaller than the DS), but the A, B, X, and Y buttons retain the same dimensions. There are lines on the D-pad, a design shared with the ]Wii Remote and ]Game Boy Micro.

The Start and Select buttons have been relocated under the A, B, X, and Y buttons, and are smaller than the original buttons.

Twelve colors: Ice Blue, Enamel Navy, Polar White (Crystal White in Japan), Coral Pink (Noble Pink in Japan), Onyx Black (Jet Black in Japan), Metallic Rose, Gloss Silver, Crimson/Black, Cobalt/Black, Turquoise, Red, and Green (see ]Colors below).

Different external extension connection, rendering it incompatible to accessories for the ]Game Boy Advance EXT2 port (power cords and headphone adapters). The new connector is used for the power cord only.

The power button, originally located above the D-pad, is now a power slider and is relocated to the right side of the device.

The power and charging indicator lights are now located on the right hinge, as opposed to being below the bottom screen in the original model.

The redesign of the system has caused Game Boy Advance games to protrude out of the system by 1 cm. In addition, to provide a seamless surface and to keep out dirt, dust, and other debris, a filler cartridge is included.

The processors are the same as the DS, but made on a smaller custom process so they require much less power.][8]

The built-in microphone, originally located below the bottom screen, is now located between the top and bottom screens of the DS Lite.
Hope this helps!
