Dirt cheap for a N3DS

Nintendo 3DS is a groundbreaking hardware release that brings 3D gaming to the handheld market for the first time. The fourth major release in the DS product line, the Nintendo 3DS utilises 3D Slider functionality and an improved top LCD display to present a glasses-free 3D effect on compatible games, while giving players the option to moderate the effect as they see fit. Taken together with additional features including full analogue control in 3D game environments, motion and gyro sensors that transfer the movements of the handheld into the game, 3D camera functionality, an adjustable stylus and full backwards compatibility and you have not only a must-have system, but a revolution in handheld gaming.

Yeah the smaller screen on the standard 3DS is just painful, esspecially if you're used to modern smartphones / tablets.
The screen rez looks even worse on the XL though
great price, but agree that XL screens are much nicer to use

Definitely. It's either the issue laden 3DS or the far nicer 3DS XL with its larger size but very noticeably pixelated display to choose from if it's a Nintendo handheld console people want.

(I don't include the abysmal 2DS in that )

Joke?
Think he means "can't"
In which case he's wrong.
The 3 game pack is an extra 30 quid
If only there was a register a 3ds and get a game deal on at the moment!!
Damn this site....as if I haven't got enough crap that I didn't want and dont need.
Some advantages this has over the 3DS XL:

1. Whites are whiter, and screen is brighter, XL has a yellowish tinge.

2. Speakers are much louder and fuller

3. Top screen doesn't wobble as much

One fairly big design flaw on this though is that the top screen will get marked/scratched when the 3DS is closed as the bottom smaller screen rubs the top screen.
Just upset the wife, she's just bought me this for my birthday (in May) and I txt her telling her to order me it on Prime and she wasn't happy.......

Isn't there a deal on where getting a 3DS and one qualifying game gets you a free Pokemon X/Y?
Tempted by this, but is the XL worth the extra £80?

TBH I've had a 3DS for over a year now and hardly played it due to the size of the screen - I've recentky traded up to a 3DS and I can't put the damned thing down...

You'll pick one up on here for just over £110...

Makes the 2DS look expensive even at £69.99.

I forsee a £50 2DS soon enough. Afterall Nintendo need to get the smartfone / tablet generation into the fold, and I suppose they make a good % from games.
very good deal

The more recently produced XL's have a more solid top screen than early XL's and are less wobbly than standard 3DS's, too. Not sure I agree about the colours...got both on side by side with the same game and I'm not really seeing that. I used to prefer playing my ambassador (GBA) games on a standard 3DS because they look a bit sharper but I now play them on the XL to help my poor eyes be less strained

You're right about the sound/speakers, though.......sharper and less scratchy on a standard 3DS.

Great deal, BTW. Heated.
thanks, got one

Right, thanks for clearing that up!

Been deliberating whether to just get this or whether to hold out for a cheaper 3DS XL. Hmm.

It's okay, she calls me when you aren't speaking to her. And when you are at work. And when I pop round and show her what 'XL' means.

I find it's easiest to notice on white backgrounds, try the home screen.

I notice it most when the white screen background comes up on the title screen of Mario Kart 7. Obviously it's hard to notice if you only have the one and are playing, but it's still there.

I've got a pure black one which the top screen wobbles on, which is apparently a newer model.

The XLs are prone to to crack at the hinges. This is my Limited MarioKart XL which was like this at 10 months old.

Nintendo says this isn't covered by thier warranty
