Was like this last year too. Companies raise the prices so they still make profit abusing those not wiser
I went for it after being burnt on the AO "offer", and missing out on the other offers.
now just waiting on the variety one to drop.
Are Amazon good at refunding the difference if a price drops? I mistakenly bought this 3 days ago for about £24

lol they are a nightmare, sometimes they will refund the difference, most of the time they tell you to order at the lowest price and return the higher price.

They don't do that anymore. They used to have a policy to refund if purchased and fullfiled via Amazon. They will more than likely ask you to send it back and just purchase a new one.

A few people I spoken to on amazon live chat gave some money back due to the "inconvenience it caused"
Hopefully this won’t get cancelled like they did with AO,

The variety pack is still on offer at £25 I would still buy that as is still cheaper than all other retailers.

AO had limited stock and they prioritised ebay sales over their own shop.
They also took loads of orders claiming they had stock, confirmed orders, took money, even confirmed with couriers!
Then cancelled due to no stock.

If it was 2010 that sensible approach would work.
Now they will advise you to create a return, send back your used stuff for a full refund and then order it again at the cheaper price.
Ordered cheers
ordered now variety, car and robot for £40....nice!

Yeah, and charge £3 for restock / delivery unless faulty.
Watching the Variety Kit like a hawk now. Got the Robot and the Vehicle one. If the VR one comes down to £10(ish), then it really will be Xmas...

Oooh i see! Excellent!! I totally missed all of the £10 deals and im on here all the time!! Typical hehhe xx
Yeah, just been on Amazon chat and said it would be easier and better for the environment as well as it saves on the driving parcels around, but no. I have to send it back, lose £3.99 on the postage but save £11 on the item.

Here is a response to one of the reviews on trust pilot;

"Hi Big D

Thank you for your review.

I'm very sorry to hear that your order was one of those that we had to cancel. Unfortunately the popularity of the item was unprecedented and coupled with a number of customers purchasing dozens of the item at a time, our stock system unfortunately failed to keep up and it led to some orders being taken without there being stock available. We did attempt to secure more stock but unfortunately that ultimately proved futile. As soon as we were able, we notified those affected and the refunds were processed immediately, although your bank's own timescales may mean that it won't be on your available balance.

Kind regards,

Brendan

I ordered from the eBay shop and it still got cancelled.

I think that's maybe a vailed honesty.
Computerised stock systems do not 'fail to keep up' They have tried to humanise it so you feel for them.
'those poor people at ao getting confused writing down all those orders'
Computer systems process millions of calculations a second, they don't struggle because someone ordered 20.
They had already removed it as out of stock.
They then sent out emails to say it was back in stock and allowed orders again.
Their heart felt apology was a text that simply said 'this deal was popular, we sold out and have cancelled your order'
In my case after I had been told it was with couriers to be delivered the next morning.
Ebay orders were cancelled too but I was told they were prioritsed.
