Hello mate, is the old stock?

ebay.co.uk/itm…702

There's one in stock near me. Just thinking to go to the store and check if it is the old version.
According to checknow.co.uk 'The Argos stock check results:- 3 have the item available for reservation.' but if supply of this has ceased then they may not materialise

Yes, from the listing it suggests it is the old switch (6 hr battery life).

Well for me, I select store then it takes me to checkout, so I guess it could be that it was in stock, but the stock has been sold. They could potentially had only one in stock.....

Is it worth driving 3 miles to check?

It's the older model at a reduced price. There is no chance at all of it being newer model as Argos have separate listings for each

It is up to you, but unless your going that way anyway I wouldn't waste petrol just to try your luck as in no doubt at all you will get the old model, unless somebody completely messes up, but you never know these days.
Guess these won't be old enough to hack?
Normal switch or lite? How significant is the screen size difference?

I highly doubt it, you would need to check the revision number on the switch console.

The new versions had the vulnerability fixed so there's no hacking them.

It's 5.5" vs 6.2" though they have the same resolution but bigger screen generally is better and this new version has better battery life apparently plus if you ever get the problem with the joysticks you can buy new joycons if it's out of warranty.

That's all in addition to the obvious ability for a normal switch to connect to a TV. Personally I think it's better to get the normal one over the lite.

edit: apparently it's the old switch? in which case the lite has better battery life.

Thanks OP, managed to haggle on a Mario Kart 8 bundle and get it for £250.

This isn't the old Switch. The confusion was because Nintendo released a 'Holiday Bundle' for Black Friday in America which contained the old model + digital Mario Kart. I'm sure a lot of people would've been unawares. So bit sneaky/sh!tty of NoA This UK/European release is definitely the new model.
£3.95 postage still a great deal...and you don't have to go to the shops £255 delivered is good!
@mrnicewatch have you actually tried selecting 1 of the 'available' stores? As I saw a comment on the earlier thread saying when you select a store it says not in stock
