I have two accounts on my switch. One registered in the UK and another on another email address registered on the US store. I use the Opera android browser with the VPN set to USA to make my purchases and I've had no problems.

As long as you only have 1 switch then it seems to work fine and UK and US games are shown under both accounts. I understand if you have 2 or more it's more complicated.

The only downside is that, as far as I know, you can only make purchases with eshop credit you buy on the grey market. Which usually means buying a 'round' amount of dollars and possibly having to leave some cash sitting in the US eshop.

the two games I want actually come up to $49.98 conveniently lol last time I did this was to redeem a code from amazon.com - can't seem to find any grey markets with US credit weirdly though - also lost on the android opera browser part, is that to access the store using a mobile browser? I am assumign wouldn't be an isue for myself with a desktop

There are a few grey credit markets. Someone else with more experience might come along with better advice but I've used gamivo, cdkeys and g2a in the past for Xbox and Nintendo credit.

I've never had a problem with these merchants, but some people have and if it goes wrong it's not easy to get it resolved. There is the small chance you may be given a code that the eshop refuses.

Yes I use opera to access the us store. If I try the us store address on my normal browser it detects my region and sends me to the UK store.

cdkeys is usually my go to, though they don't deal with US estore credit, g2a I have heard of too many people loosing their account after the funds they redeemed were obtained from stolen credit, and not going to gamble all my games on that - gamvio I just don't know enough about but they look the same as g2a based on website, would love to know if they are different though, may have to research a lot first lol.

PC Game Supply offers US Nintendo Credit. It is best to have two accounts. Create a new US account and add it to your Switch. The reason it is best to add a new account is US region won’t let you switch back to UK if there is any credit left on the account.

thanks for that info, will definitely make a new account for US then if i buy things, took a long time to find deals from pcgamesupply on hukd due to the name triggering so many results, can't find out if the store has any hidden charges on it i.e. a fee for using paypal
After having a good look 2 that stand out to me are Assassin's Creed Rebel Collection at $31.99 and Into the Breach at $7.49 less than £32 for the both is a bargain

They have an activation fee usually at checkout. Can’t remember exactly how much but it will tell you before you click to purchase. Alternatively you can use Amazon.com if you have a card that allows you to buy in dollars fee free.

Sort of annoyed with myself for not buying Dragonball Fighter Z when it was on offer on the UK store. Might finally give this region switching thing a pop.

See that's how much I know about it, and I've had a Switch for years. I will looking into it properly though.
Fantastic prices for both games so tempted to create a US account. I normally do the region switching to The Mexico store but I’ve got £50 sitting in my Eshop account so don’t wanna mess with the switching process. However how do I add funds to the US store?

Create a US account
Yes, unless you have a us payment already setup e.g. us paypal, create separate us and uk accounts- far easier
