purchased thank you!

How does this compare to the generic cases with protectors on eBay, e.g.
ebay.us/kShV1u
Good deal- its £15 on Amazon
I bought this for my son and its a great little case. It even fits the switch in when it has it's rubber protector thingy (technical name obvs!) on it
Bought this for 10£ a month ago , pretty solid case, well worth £5
Officially licensed but not made by Nintendo. Still a good deal for that price.
Is this just for the lite
rahhjarr03/12/2019 23:42

It's for the original

Ah that’s great thanks so will fit the new better battery version I guess. Thanks.
I have this case. It’s ok. With 2 joy in straps added to the internal pouch it feels a bit squashed. Not as hard/ridged as I think many would hope, for reassurance. but my switch has taken a squash and a drop from 4ft sealed in it and has been protected.

Worth the cost overall if you want a barebones case and a bit of storage for physical games.
@antmanwatson This is not an Official Nintendo product, it’s a third party product. It’s made by PDP.
anyone know a good case that fits a pro controller and a switch and doesn't look like an ammo crate at the same time
The backpack looks a great way to advertise what you could potentially be carrying. Nothing in the way of security features either from the Argos description which is also unsettling.

I have this protective case and it is great. Has all the protection it needs, storage for games and you can fit 2 additional joycons in just about. No space for charger or doc, so if wanting all the bits the back pack would be better. But day to day this is great and a bargain at 4.99
Love this case! It’s what I use with my Nintendo Switch

You wouldn't walk around with the case strapped to you on a belt like a bum bag though would you. The case is just for protection of the switch. You'd keep it in a rucksack or bag surely? Security features? You mean a padlock or keylock?

I think he was referring to the backpack not the slim case. I agree with him on the backpack kind of flaunts what's inside.
I've just ordered a Mario bundle from Argos and added this item. Turns out it was a free add on. Also worked on the other cases that have been reduced to £4.99 (luigi, Mario).... thanks for posting, an unexpected bonus!!!

Security like reinforced straps, materials to stop thieves slitting it open. The option of a lock would be good too. A switch plus games and accessories is as expensive as a moderate laptop and most good laptop bags will have security features.

You've proven my point, you wouldn't have a case on display so why would you have a something on your back with a Switch logo on it?
Perfect! was just looking for something like this! thanks OP!

I've got to address this as it comes up almost every time this bag is discussed.

Every day on the street you see people wearing expensive watches, carrying branded designer handbags and carrying laptop bags.

What you don't see, is those people lying in a heap on the floor in high streets up and down Britain because our horde-of-zombies population of kleptomaniacs can't keep their hands off expensive things.

For someone to rob you of your Switch, they would first have to be in thieving mood, then they would have to identify that a particular backpack (much smaller than a laptop bag so wouldn't immediately attract attention) had a small logo on it, indicating what contents might be inside it, then hatch a plan to steal the hardware worth well below £200 at a pawn shop, and then enact that plan.

Of course, if someone wants to steal it (bearing in mind this is a backpack and they'd have to get both straps off as opposed to a single strap on a laptop bag) they could but let's not scaremonger and pretend we live in a country where the minute you step outside your flat you are going to run some kind of gauntlet to protect your electronics before you get to Costa. It's just not fair.

"Thieving mood" Its not scaremongering, its just being safe rather than sorry. I've had a Nintendo handheld nicked off me when it was in an official bag because it was clear what was in it.

The improved battery Switch looks exactly the same as the original Switch and has the same dimensions, the only way you know which version you have is by looking at the model number HAC-001(-01) - it has the additional (-01) appended. All accessories are compatible between both models.
The case is made by PDP who make a lot of joysticks and cases etc. fabric with vinyl trim it looks quite grown up and it's a hard case (not floppy). Very good value for £4.99.
Thanks OP, ordered!
Picked one up. Seems very well made and definitely will secure the device well. Good deal

This is travel case for your console only (cable etc) while the messanger bag is a big bag for everything, dock, games, all the cables, adapters.
Got this deal the other day. Great little case that fits 4 spare games and some accessories. Good value for the money!
