Tempted to Bomberman at that price
The South African shop is back up. Don't forget to use your gold points as a discount but they only work on the region you made the previous purchases (or added from your physical carts). Arms (for example) will give you a further £1.20 in points to spend on something else!

I had Lego Worlds from Canada store for £10.90 (bought a $20 canadian eshop token for that, the game was about $14.99 + $2 tax)
I tried buying a game in the Japan eShop but it wouldn't accept my Paypal or Debit Card.

I know some regions this doesn't work with, Mexico for example I am pretty sure we can't get. Possible Japan is one of those
Does Japan definitely work with Revolt? Shovel Knight Tresure Trove is like £14 quid
Just a heads up to anyone interested in Steamworld Dig 2, that's actually free on Twitch Prime right now. Was about to purchase it before April's free games got announced

Yeah, I put that in my guide , I already had an attempted purchase to the Mexican eshop not work on me
I personally just stick with the regions that work fine with my UK 🇬🇧 PayPal.

Russia 🇷🇺 and Norway 🇳🇴 I think were the main 2.

Much difference in the above prices with PayPal fees?
Was on the fence about ARMS at UK price, decided to purchase it after seeing South Africa price. Cheers!
Heat added also for explanation.
Thanks for the effort FriendlyFire. Just bought Super Bomberman R.

Mexican and Japan can be used but its a pain in the ass and you have to create Paypal accounts for those countries with addresses in those countries (so using the embassy or something) and then I would recommend removing credit card information after purchase and re-adding it to paypal if required again to purchase more games in the future as there is no way to secure the paypal account with two factor authentication, given that they only offer SMS 2FA and you will be using a phone number that is not your own.

I have some cash in my UK account. When I go to change region, it says that I have to "give up eShop balance". Has anyone done this? Will the balance be gone even when I switch back??

Thanks

That credit will be gone for good if you switch regions.
You don’t need to set up anything special to buy from Russia, Norway or South Africa. UK cards accepted. I use a fee free aqua card and get cashback

When Nintendo release a paid subscription online service, will this affect the ability to play online/download patches for the games purchased from the foreign shops?

There's no indication that it should do.
Both Steamworld games are awesome. The 2nd is better though.

Russia/Norway/South Africa all work with Monzo. Japan and America doesn't.

I haven't signed up just yet, but I believe part of Revolut's original MO was avoiding fees for currency conversion.

Yeah what the other guy said, sorry should have specified! Although to be honest any old laptop could run it I think
Does the Revolut card work on the US eshop. I've tried but it keeps telling me to input the Virtual Card details, tried Googling but there doesnt seem any info on wher the Revolut card works and doesnt. Plus it wont let me change region as I have $0.01 in my account, no option to forfeit the funds. Bizarre.

It's not where the revolut card works, it's what cards Nintendo accept for which region
When revolut doesn't work on Mexico for example, that's the eshop declining it
It's not revolut not liking, declining Mexicans because that one time the creator ate too many spicy burritos, and followed through with, what he thought, was a fart

You mean you’ve tried putting in the virtual card details as they appear on the app?

And yeah, you can’t leave a US account with any credit, unlike the other regions. Without contacting Nintendo, anyway.
Anyone had any luck buying from the Canadian eshop? Regular Revolut user here but can't find a way to get it working with that.
I think these have now expired (Easter sale was till yesterday 23:59 local time)
Any info on whether or not revolut works in Japan?
