already preordered but heat for listing it.

R.R.P. This page used to be about deals. Now it's about stock alerts and pre-orders at standard prices.

Are they selling out then for day one? Think I've seen Amazon, GAME and Zavvi saying they've sold out. Gone for the Neon myself at Amazon.

Plus 3.99 postage. No option for collect plus so postage must be paid.

Plenty of Very vouchers too so can probably get a good deal on this. Personally wouldn't trust them but still.

Yea I can see where you're coming from But if someone missed out on preordering one then they can get one at R.R.P and not at stupidly marked up Flebay price.

A Nintendo Switch deal and a Very deal at full price going hot..? The HUKD police must be asleep. Heat added

Very? Rather pay £30 more and go else where.

Hate the company.

Stock alerts are some times just as important as deals

It's a "deal" if you don't want to pay scalper prices...

Argos and Tesco are taking preorders but take money upfront, Tesco says its released 28th Feb to!!

Was going to get one for launch but such a bad lineup of launch titles, going to wait until a decent Mario or Pokemon game released

HEAT for this deal on the nations favourite console.

Wouldn't get another thing through very how those con artists are still allowed to trade is beyond me!

They're still available from Amazon France, Spain and Germany (325€, and 320€ at Amazon Spain). With the current exchange rate and delivery they work out just a fraction over £280, but better than scalper prices. If the pound gets back to 1,20€ they'll work out at under £270.

Game's website says they're hoping to get more stock for launch. I don't think preorders are generally going so well, at least in Europe.

Some idiot has bought one on eBay with Zelda for £499. A few preorders for £150-£200 on eBay. Does that mean people are paying just for the reservation? If not how could they be that cheap??

It is just me, but I find a small handful of games at launch is all you need. I mean you can only play one game at a time after all.

Nintendo has publicly stated they expect 2m sales through March. If there are stock shortages, it's likely because of demand exceeding those expectations. These are reduced expectations as well considering the Wii U's launch went very well in terms of initial sales.

And it looks very bad on the year end balance sheet (for march) if a lot of operating costs are eaten up by storage costs for unsold stock.

It is not all about deliberately having low stock levels and drumming up talk about the console (i.e. promotion) and a marketing strategy around that. Nintendo have to adapt to the specific environmental conditions in the gaming market that impact them. The most obvious being that with it being in a non-mainstream niche gaming sector it has to cope with not getting its products into the Supermarkets. The Supermarkets offer a lot of footfall audience and consumer impulse purchase opportunity. Nintendo are largely missing out that, as many supermarkets won't stock Nintendo products. Most of the supermarkets that do stock their products, it is really minimal and just a token gesture, and rather dwarfed and lost by what what is available for the other non-mainstream consoles. The non-mainstream consoles simply don't have to deal with this problem. It is only natural that Nintendo therefore are cautious and careful (or sensible) with production numbers.

Nintendo can't really blame the supermarkets though. It is a direct result of steering itself into non-mainstream gaming, it should not be surprising it does not feature much with most mainstream retailers.

Xbox one launched with 15 games, most cross platform rehashed 360, only 2 exclusives. PS4 had a lot more launch titles but again cross platform or already released games with afew exclusives. Personally I feel really sad I didn't get to play Killzone or Ryse day one :p:{

Nintendo are releasing 2 million into the wild, how much stock do you want them produce before its released. and even going for world wide release so no paying extra for gray import

anyone get any very voucher work? tried the £25 off £50 spend but no joy (and no joycons)

perhaps it's just me, the first thing I think of when I see this post is how most of you are going to be **** off when your console doesn't arrive and very say they made a mistake with their stock. Ah well in this case I think they'd be doing you a favour anyway.

Never had a problem with Very personally.

Amazon changed my delivery date because I switched my order to my Credit Card a few days ago. So annoyed
Now i'll have to find another place to order

My issue is that really I only want Bomberman and Zelda, and I'm not paying anywhere near the £50 RRP for Bomberman, it needs to be sub £30 and that's really pushing it and would be me accepting getting screwed at launch - of course there could be a lot more to it than meets the eye, but it's Bomberman!

Just Dance, Skylanders and 1 2 Switch hold no appeal to me at all and I doubt they do for any Nintendo fans or dedicated gamers!

And this whole "Nintendo limiting stock/creating false demand" talk is getting old really fast. Can you provide proof of this? I worked in retail during the Wii/DS era and there just wasn't any way Nintendo could keep up with demand. They were selling out before we even got stock in; and we always got very good amount of stock.

Before the Switch event, Nintendo already announced that they would ship only 2million units worldwide. Is it really surprising that it's selling out?

Glad to see it is not me just glad to see the return of Bomberman. This and Mario Odyessy have been the most exciting bits of news to come out, especially after the disappointment of MK. Looking forward to introducing my kid to multiplayer Bomberman.
