Are you posting a deal or asking a favour??
Considering cex buy them for more than that, it's definitely worth a punt for anyone wanting a Switch.

Well you could always run it over to CEX for a £240 voucher or £208 cash.

If condition is good it'll be a bargain for someone I think.

And they have gone!

of all the consoles to buy preowned this is one of the riskiest id say unless you can physically see it first.

How is it any riskier than buying a 3ds/2ds or Wii U or any other handheld device, or even a phone is riskier. I don't understand your logic.

Edit: All that and as stated above you can sell it for more than what you're buying it for if you're not happy = zero risk....

Always protected by distance selling regs. So if it turns up and it isn't great, take it to CEX first. If they won't pay out take it back to grainger.

I agree with this after seeing the ones In my local CEX. No screen protectors and scratches all over.. and was still charging over £300! But as others have mentioned if its poor condition you can always just take to cex for profit anyway so no risk..

Many don't understand my logic get in the queue pal and take a ticket.

NOTHING in this life is zero risk.

I like it!
You just have to look at the facts to see why this is slightly riskier than buying a 3ds...

Switch is still hard to get hold of, place like cex are paying much more than this to trade in, and sell on value privately is high.

Yet these are super cheap. If someone has sold it even less than this to Grainger it would suggest its not in pristine condition, no?

You maybe "protected" buy this and that and can try and trade it in at Cex but seriously I would want to buy it and use it....

either way I would give heat if I could, just clearly is a risky buy....

Many things in life are ZERO risk. Are you one of those people who can't drink tap water, won't eat at a restaurant unless it's open kitchen. Doesn't cross a road until the green man appears, eats a steak "Well Done"....
Wow awesome price! Still don't think I'd get a switch though for now but it looks promising if switch prices continue to go down at this rate. Might pick one up once they release metroid prime 4.

MUST. NOT. FEED. THE. TROLL.

Good effort fella.

I just have the money not to scrape round trying to make a few bucks buying and selling second hand consoles for £8.01 cash profit at Cex....

Good luck to you though and I hope financially you get on your feet. You seem a lovely chap.

Lol what a tool you really are, my point being (which you completely ignored) is if you buy this to keep and it happens to be in a poor condition. You then have 2 options, the first being that you can take it to CEX for profit (if it's still is available for the price or if they accept it in its condition), the 2nd being that you can return it to Grainger games for your money back.

Yes it is that simple, and yes the only thing you've risked is the time taken to go to CEX and/or return to Grainger games. If you get a good condition Switch then for £199 you've got a bargain.

Good day to you my wealthy HUKD compatriot, I hope life keeps you safe and you never have too many risks like buying a pre owned Nintendo Switch.

A tool has uses by definition.... but ill pretend I'm hurt. I have called the serious burns unit...

Enjoy your 8 quid/preowned grubby grainger console. Their "new" stuff is a big enough risk. - oh sorry no such thing as risk.
You've both got a valid point, so calm down. The risk is the hassle of having to do a return. But then again you could get a bargain. I bought a used Wii U from Grainger years ago and it was in perfect condition - though of course that may not be the case here due to the screen issues. Also, I've always found Grainger to have great customer service - despite them sometimes sending out 'like new' 'new' games, the cases having been on display.
I got my Switch new in June and haven't had a single issue with it. I'm a very happy Switch owner. A friend of mine got a used one from CEX shortly after and had the disconnecting joy-con issue. I'm pretty sure Nintendo will fix that for you, but it's just one of the issues that early adopters complained about that I haven't experienced. I'd rather pick up a fresh one.

Lol, just to add to your burns I haven't bought this offer as I've no need for it. I personally have 2 Nintendo Switch consoles in my household, both bought brand new shortly after release. Both of which rarely get used at the moment (waiting for Mario Odyssey). I commented to help people make a decision which could be a great buy at no risk. You may of helped people miss out on a bargain. But hey who's to say which is the more helpful....
Waiting for Mario Odyssey then after that its bye bye Switch. What an awful console.

Indeed very valid points and very much what I have been saying. More than any console this one is a big risk to buy second hand for many many reasons.

A point that anyone that has even done the slightest bit of research will know.

Switch is not hard to get hold of. I ordered one at 5pm yesterday and it turned up 3 & half hours later, I could have bought loads if needed.
Thanks! I've ordered one for store collection so if it is too damaged I just won't buy it

Great plan! I've unexpired deal while they are available again.
Same. If it's covered in snot, I'll pass.
I managed to order one too (pickup from store), thanks OP.
This looks like a real bargain yes, and I would be tempted, but being 'down south' I have none of these stores with a 100mile radius so not sure it's worth the punt until others get proof.

Their return policy for Hardware products is a bit vague..."Hardware Returns - Faulty Consoles/Gadgets may be returned for a like-for-like exchange: New consoles up to 12 months from the purchase date and pre-owned consoles for up to 6 months from the purchase date. Returned hardware must contain every component part as purchased (e.g. cables, memory cards, etc.) A valid proof of purchase is required for all returns." graingergames.co.uk/ret…icy

So seems you could only return if it's faulty, so if the screen is scratched to hell that might not count.

Keen to see what someone says once they pick one up in-store!?
Price gone up to £259.99 now!
Hmmm....have Grainger done the dirty here?

I have a confirmation email with order number. But I have nothing on my account and don't have the 'ready for collection' email promised in the order email.

Item showing as in stock (used) at my local store.

Hmmmm....
£260 now
I hope they honor this. Went in to Hyde branch this morning at opening time but was told there was no stock (showed as 1 online at 10pm last night) and to wait for the second email or buy a new one.

Told mine is in store BUT...it is in terrible condition, and one of the joycons doesn't work. Seems like Grainger don't want us to buy. Funny, because I can still order the 1 in stock from my local store at £259.99 this morning.
Good deal. I got a "like new" one off E-Bay for £190 the other day, so CEX coming close to this is pretty impressive.

I picked up a switch a couple of days ago. I got Zelda, mk and splatoon.

I’m really impressed with the console.

I love the fact that it’s such a powerful handheld.
Now instock at £259.99. Funny that.
