I agree with rma. Pretty sure some asda and argos stores do them around £10 too
Completely unnecessary, I’ve never once played long enough to kill the battery on these things. They will easily last any healthy length of gaming session. If you’re killing the battery then you’re playing far too long. Save yourself some money.
Voted hot because it's a good price, but the batteries on mine have never even come close to running out. Adds a bit of bulk, I suppose

Heat added. People complain these and the charging grip aren't necessary but they're perfect for when you want to play something and have forgotten to connect the joy cons to the console the night before.
I can't imagine a scenario in which you would need these either.

The Joycon's last for about 20 hours without charge, so even if you had the freedom and inclination to play for a full day, the next day when you picked them up again they'd still have a decent bit of charge on them. Personally, I probably only need to charge them once every couple of weeks, but it's easy enough just to put them back on the docked or plugged in switch every now and then surely?

Edit: they might be interesting to help with ergonomics though actually!

I'd love to see a picture of that in use, if you have one? :-)
Can buy a car charger for Switch for this price and cheaper.

Could even put the money towards another pair of joy cons, for alternating.

Just not convinced by the need for these battery packs with alternative and probably better options. Plus the joy con charge is very good after all and lasts such a long time.

Thxs for the lovely comments but people seem to forget this site is not about whether you like it or not it’s about being a good price.

Also it’s just got 16p cheaper 😜

It's not just the price that makes something a good deal. If something isn't desirable then it's worth nothing

This isn’t a good price as you don’t need it. The battery life of the controllers is amazing and you’d almost never need these. The better option is to save your money and buy an indie game off the Nintendo eshop.

Ignore them 2 above mate. They haven't got a clue what they are on about. Pathetic comments to try and make a point. It's got sod all about being desirable to certain people or if the item is actually required for the vast majority of people. The site is for showing the best price for any item that people wish to share. End of. Oh and whilst I'm at it, I actually own these and having them attached without batteries inside makes holding the joycons by themselves much more comfortable.
