I'm getting the feeling a new eBay code was released?

I'm getting the feeling a new eBay code was released?

Time to leave the site for a couple of hours then I think
Shockingly every major retailer seems to have run out of stock of the full Switch Mario Kart bundle as this code hit.
They really need to release some more 4 pack track dlcs like they did on the wii u. They are missing an opportunity to literally print money (again) and I'm just confused why they haven't done so considering the huge push they are doing with the game bundled on switch.
Trade the game to cex for £29 cash makes the console £168.10! Awesome deal, feel bad cos I ordered just the console from the game collection with the eBay code on Saturday for £171

There is almost certainly an (unannounced as yet) Switch Mario Kart in development, so putting new tracks on MK8, instead of putting them in the new game will just mean extending the development time for the new game.

I get that but what I said was this is easy money and it's what people have wanted for ages. 19 million switch Mario Kart 8's around the world. Some dlc tracks at say £4/5 a pop. If just 20% of people purchase said dlc around the world, that amount of easy money would be silly to ignore.

I also don't see them doing a new Mario Kart in the next few years (there aren't even any lukewarm rumours, just clickbait articles) considering the big refresh push on bundling the game right now. Why would they do that for Christmas and next year say "oh sorry there's a new one now even though you all just got one". It wouldn't make business sense as it would annoy new Switch owners who got the bundle to get some life out of the game for themselves.

Just my opinion anyway.

Nintendo have a habit of being very tight lipped about titles and releasing them out of the blue (Mario Galaxy 2 anyone?)

They have to weigh up releasing more tracks for Mario Kart 8 vs probably adding years of development onto the Switch game. Zelda BotW prob has an even larger attachment rate than MK. They could also make lots of money by doing more DLC, but they want to concentrate on the new game instead. This is how Nintendo does games & DLC. Not try to squeeze every last penny like EA or other developers.

Don’t see the relevance of them bundling MK8 with that stopping them releasing a new Switch Mario Kart. Did Pokemon being bundled with DS/3DS stop Nintendo regular releasing new Pokemon games which literally made the previous iterations redundant?
MK8 wouldn’t actually be made redundant with the release of a new switch MK as it would have different tracks. Eg is Mario Galaxy 1 redundant because Mario Galaxy 2 exists?
Good deal , purchased 1
