If it sells there's no reason to pricedrop. Devaluing your own product for no reason is dumb.

I find it so interesting how personally people take Nintendo prices. If you don't like it don't buy it. I have an Xbox One that I bought for £160 that is collecting dust and a Nintendo Switch that I paid almost twice as much for that I play literally every day. To me the games on the Switch are sooo much better than on the Xbox. But again that's my personal preference. Do I regret buying the Xbox? Yeah a little. Am I going to go on every Xbox deal on this website and whine about it? No

Heat! If they were doing the pokemon special edition this price I'd bite

Decent price. Has been slightly lower with various offers, don't recall seeing it under 150.
This a UK based seller? The warranty issues with Nintendo put my off buying from anyone else but direct or a big UK retailer.

If only amazon price matched, still got Xmas vouchers to spend.....

This is from. Sweden or Denmark so. Possible 2 prong plug. Also I'm guessing no UK warranty? Worth a gamble though quality products usually. Snes still works. Lol

Not really. The PS4 officially dropped in price by £50 less than two years after release in October 2015. That was selling better than the Switch. Only Nintendo fanboys defend their ridiculous prices. They've been doing it for years

Actually the Switch is the fastest selling console.

Ps4 just has more overall sales, but it's been out for a lot longer.

I got mine from eglobal (the pokemon one) for £157.99. Although eglobal is banned on this site for now.

Ordered on Xmas day, and came 2 weeks later or so.

So I imagine if you ordered it today or tomorrow, you could probably get it in just over a week.

Edit: I used the free non-insured delivery, too.

PS4 sales after six years on sale - 106 million.

Switch sales after nearly three years on sale - 40 million.

It's only sold faster in the US than the PS4 did but it's lower overall. So if we follow that trend, when the Switch hits six years on sale it will be at over 80 million unless there's some sudden sales spike. A price cut will help that and releasing a home console SKU with a Pro controller bundled in will certainly get a sale from me.
I don't think the lite is a big seller like original or the wii hence price drops left and right.
This or the upcoming pro??? Metal housing sounds premium. Nice.

Hong Kong I think..

The console itself looks like it was bought over here, so I assume it's the same repair process.

But if it still selling well why drop the retail price? There’s no need too!

Depends what you're using it for.

I think the Pro model will allow up to 4K resolution when connected to a TV. So a beefier GPU. Perhaps 60fps in competitive shooters like Overwatch too.

Expect it to be £349-399.

Because it helps their product sell well consistently and allow new adopters like myself to enjoy their system? Because its consumer friendly?

Every other company drops the price of their products over time, no matter how well they sell. Nintendon't. At this rate they're just trying to recoup the costs of the sales disaster that was the Wii U, there's no other reason.

I believe it is coming. Nothing official announced yet, but I believe at E3 this year, they will do it.

They will also probably show off how nice Breath of the Wild 2 looks on it, aswell.

That's one big way to compete with MS/Sony console war this year.

Yeah, I think I'll wait.
