Key Features

Designed for on-the-go gaming

It's ready to go whenever you are! The Nintendo Switch Lite has been designed with on-the-go gaming in mind, so you can jump into your games on your commute, on a flight, out at the park - anywhere at all.

Weighing only 276g, it's super lightweight, so it's perfect for popping in your backpack or bag for some spontaneous gaming if you find yourself with some time to kill. The controllers are built-in too, so there's no chance of them getting damaged or lost when you're out and about.

The Switch Lite plays the whole library of Nintendo Switch games that have a handheld mode, so if you've already got a Switch console, loads of your games will already be compatible.

More multiplayer options

Link up to eight Switch or Switch Lite consoles to play with friends instantly. In handheld mode, the Switch can detect other consoles, making it easy to start playing local multiplayer games in just a few moments, with no complicated pairing or setup.

Connect your Nintendo Switch online for multiplayer action with or against players from all over the world. Compete against others, or team up in future co-operative games.

Get more from your console

It's not just for gaming. With the News feature, you can get the latest news and updates while you're connected to the internet. And with the Album feature, you can take screenshots to save to your hard drive or share directly and instantly to social media. Now no one can doubt that unbelievable high score!

Your games stored internally

Store your games on 32 GB of internal memory - so you've always got all your favourites with you. If you just can't choose, you can easily upgrade the storage using microSDHC or microSDXC cards so you've got space for your whole library.

"OPEN BOX, NEVER USED" aka people who bought this for their kids not …"OPEN BOX, NEVER USED" aka people who bought this for their kids not knowing you can't connect it too your tv Great price, It's a shame about the game library on the switch though. The games are so few and far between that are worth getting.

Couldn't possibly disagree more. I got 40 physical games on it and another 10 digital. I still haven't played like half of them, either. I think for the average player it has more games than they have time. I wish I had more time as I've barely scratched the surface of most games I've played. Quite a few long games on it as well. You could spend hundreds of hours on games like Zelda, Fire Emblem, DQ11 etc.

@mixmixi with these prices... It gets harder and harder to ignore the Switch hardware.

But with the prices of the Switch software...

I guess if those are your cup of tea then go for it. Last game I played was Pokemon now I need to wait a few months until the new Animal crossing.

Should be Nintendo Direct soon, hopefully they will announce something for sooner, even if it's a Wii U port like Mario 3D World it would be welcome - let's be honest, most people didn't own a Wii U. Animal Crossing will be my next game, too, but knowing myself I'm not gonna play it until 2021.

You must have spend hundreds of £ on games that you haven't played? If this had a game included it would be a great deal.

Well, sometimes I think I want to play them but by the time they arrive I'm engaged in something else and they stay in the bench for a while. Thankfully for the most part Switch games don't depreciate much

By the way, it's already a really good deal, 150 with a game, I would probably buy it too even though I already own one, lol, too good to refuse. It might actually go that low in the not-too-distant-future though, especially if another model comes out.

I think it depends what you use the Switch for and whether you owned a Wii U and that varies from person to person. Take away the mountain of Wii U and inferior ports of games available on PS4/Xbone and the library isn't all that big. I would use the Switch strictly for exclusives and in that regard, there really isn't enough there to justify such a high price of entry for the main model. It still sells at RRP nearly three years later which is ridiculous.

It's the main reason I haven't picked one up yet. I played a lot of the Switch games on the Wii U, including Mario Kart and Zelda and can't justify buying a Switch just for a new Mario game. Plus I've no interest in the portable option to play these games so neither console SKU suits my preference. I don't want to pay nearly £300 for a console where I won't be using half the functionality.

If they released a TV only version one day with a Pro Controller thrown in and more actual exclusives join the roster then I'd definitely pick one up. They could easily do that and sell it for less than £200 considering they won't have a screen or battery to worry about.

I bought a Wii U. I regret my purchase to this day.

Sure, there are some amazing games on it (Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart 8, etc)... But the amount of play-time I had on it just made me not want to invest in another Nintendo console going forward.

The Switch has some great games. I'm just not prepared to pay over the odds for them. And that's not even taking into consideration the Switch hardware paywall.
switch pro / xl when??? jk
Unsurprisingly all out of stock now. Looks like I was far too late in seeing this deal. Cracking price for the console, if only the games weren't generally so expensive.

You can put backups on now
Nintendo still have no idea when they will have more stock of the TV version console. They're an absolute joke.

All the games play on Lite, it just can't be played on TV, only handheld.
